Cardi B Wants To Start A GoFundMe To Free Joe Exotic Of “Tiger King”

At long last (it’s been less than 10 days really, but still) my two favorite worlds have finally collided. Cardi B is coming to the defense of incarcerated Tiger King star, Joe Exotic, and has apparently offered to start a GoFundMe campaign to get him sprung from prison. So basically, another “I love you and I want to help you out, but I’m not touching my own funds’. Whatever, I’ll take what I can get.

TMZ is reporting that late Friday night, Cardi did what she does best: ranted on Twitter. And she directed some of her nonsensical ramblings at Joe’s arch-nemesis, and the woman he’s accused of plotting to kill, Carole Baskin.

If you don’t know anything about Netflix’s Tiger King docu-series (I’m low-key ashamed, yet also kind of jealous of you), Joe runs a big cat zoo in Oklahoma, while Carole runs a big cat rescue and sanctuary in Florida. Carole thinks that Joe is a scummy, abusive profiteer––and Joe thinks Carole, who has her own share of shady shit going on, is a big ol’ liar and hypocrite. Wow. Typing out the plot of Tiger King does absolutely nothing compared to watching it.

Earlier this year, Joe was sentenced to 22 years in prison for hiring a hitman (who ended up being an undercover FBI agent) to kill Carole.

Anyway, Cardi came out of nowhere and showed herself to be decidedly pro-Joe, launching a dirty prison shank at Carole, suggesting the theory that Carole murdered her husband and fed him to the tigers (something she’s denied and has never been charged for).

She then went on to tweet another round of verbal diarrhea, some of which sound downright Trump-ish.

I don’t know whether this is just how Cardi handles herself when she gets into a new TV show, or if her self-isolating is getting to her––or both. It’s equally cute and terrifying to see her this engaged and excited about a group of genuinely terrible people (Joe, by the way, recently filed a $94 million lawsuit from prison, accusing various government agencies of steamrolling him with bogus charges). Either way, Joe and his glamorous mullet can rest easy knowing that he has a champion like Cardi on his side.
