Richard Grieco Was Arrested For Being Too Drunk At An Airport

Richard Grieco ,whose hotness seems to ebb and flow, is in a deep “ebb” moment, because he found himself in handcuffs by the airport police while trying to fly from Texas to Pennsylvania last week. It seems he had a bit too much of the good stuff and was denied a flight for being a wasted mess. Of course he kindly accepted the denial of services and moved along until he sobered up. Just kidding, he caused a scene and wound up looking like a make-up-less member of a low-rated KISS cover band in his mug shot.

TMZ says that Richard was at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport trying to make his way to Pennsylvania. Police were flagged to his gate because an agent working had denied him boarding. TMZ’s sources say:

“[He was] Hunched over the counter, yelling at employees and slurring his speech… he also reeked of booze.”

Which sounds like me any given weekend of my early-twenties except it was a McDonald’s/Wendy’s counter.

The cops spoke to Richard and he “admitted to drinking two cranberry vodkas before the flight.” Officers also noted that he was “very unsteady on his feet” when he was brought in to be booked. And the report of the incident says that Richard had Klonopin in his bag. He said he uses it because he’s a “nervous flier”, which again: I relate–only flown once and I popped Ativan both ways. So actually I guess I have to take my laugh back, because you aren’t supposed to mix Klonopin and vodka cranberry–maybe he really did only have two? Still two too many.

Richard caught another flight for the next day and life moved on. He told TMZ that the whole thing was an “unfortunate incident” and said it was “not that big of a deal.” And I agree. First of all, I’m sure he can get a lot messier. Second of all, he’s not the first famous messy person to be thrown off a flight for acting a mess. And really, who hasn’t been hunched over a counter drunkenly yelling at a Wendy’s employee about chicken nuggets? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Even judges are drunkenly tearing up White Castles! Leave Richard Grieco alone!
