The first mistake Warner Bros made when they decided to remake the 1990 classic kid’s horror movie The Witches starring Anjelica Huston, was deciding to remake the 1990 classic kid’s horror movie The Witches not starring Anjelica Huston. Instead, they went with Anne Hathaway, who is notably not Anjelica Huston. Turns out that wasn’t their only mistake. According to Variety, Warner Bros has issued an apology to the limb difference community for how they chose to portray Anne’s Grand Witch character’s hands in the movie, which differs from how they appeared in the 1990 film and in the illustrations in the original book by Roald Dahl.
