Barbara Bush Has Died
On Sunday, the 41st First Lady of the United States Barbara Bush let her doctors know that she was done with being in the hospital, where she was being treated for COPD and congestive heart failure, and wanted to be at home when she went off to the afterworld. Today, Barbara died at her home in Houston, TX while surrounded by her gigantic family (17 grandchildren!!!). She was 92. The Bush family released this statement:
“A former First Lady of the United States of America and relentless proponent of family literacy, Barbara Pierce Bush passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 92. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, President George H.W. Bush; five children and their spouses; 17 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her brother, Scott Pierce. She was preceded in death by her second child, Pauline Robinson ‘Robin’ Bush, and her siblings Martha Rafferty and James R. Pierce.
The official funeral schedule will be announced as soon as is practical.”
Barbara Bush was the SLOTUS (Second Lady of the United States) during the Reagan years and FLOTUS from 1989 to 1993. She was FMOTUS (First Mother of the United States, which really doesn’t work) when George W. Bush was president from 2001 to 2009. And she could’ve been FMOTUS again if her other son Jeb Bush won in 2016.
And there’s a chance Barbara Bush died the same way I want to die: with a cup of the sweet nectar in hand.

WCVB in Boston reports that Frank Avruch, the man who played Bozo The Clown from 1959 through 1970 has died. Frank was more than just a clown. He was also a beloved Boston local celebrity who hosted and appeared on numerous shows on WCVB-TV including Good Day, The Great Entertainment and Man About Town.
Bento The Keyboard Cat Has Died
The Keyboard Cat has died, long live the Keyboard Cat. Bento The Beneficent was the second of what one can only presume will be a long line of feline rulers to wield a Casio to uplift and inspire a weary populace. The Spokesman Review reports that Bento died on March 8th. While Bento’s soul is immortal, his body was 9 years old at the time of his ascension.

Hugh Hefner Has Died
Anyone who has ever snuck a peek at a Playboy magazine found in the woods or under their dad’s side of the mattress should be observing a moment of silence today. Although I have a feeling Hugh Hefner would be flattered if your moment involved 5-to-10 minutes alone with one of his magazines.
“Fixer Upper” Will End After Its 5th Season. What Does This All Mean!?!
Spin cycle classes, UGG stores and Starbucks all across middle America will be emptier than Chip Gaines’ head today, because all basic moms will be at home blasting a Sam Smith song from their Spotify playlist as hot tears fly out of their ducts as they clutch the giant clock they bought on sale at Magnolia Market. Because the King and Queen of Waco, Chip and Joanna Gaines, announced today that the fifth season of their extremely popular HGTV show, Fixer Upper, will be its last.
