Here’s The Teaser Trailer For HBO’s Tina Turner Documentary “Tina”

February 24, 2021 / Posted by:

Lord knows we can never have enough well-made documentary films about our female musical icons. OK, we’ve had enough about Whitney, but you know what I mean. I’m talking about ones that explore the struggles and triumphs of women who rose to stardom (or in some cases 20 feet from it) despite the odds. As such, HBO has just released a teaser trailer for Tina, their upcoming documentary about Tina Turner, which, according to IndieWire, draws on “a wealth of never-before-seen footage spanning 60 years, audio tapes, personal photos, and new interviews with Turner herself.” Yes, thank you, I’ll have two. While her life and career have already been portrayed on the big screen, you’d be hard-pressed to find a subject more iconic, inspirational, or necessary than Tina Motherfucking Turner. You know what, on second thought, I’ll take five, and I’ll have a look at that dessert menu as well.

There’s Now A Trailer For Corey Feldman’s Crowdsourced Documentary About Hollywood Pedophiles

February 13, 2020 / Posted by:

At long last, Corey Feldman was able to drum up enough money to complete his documentary about the Hollywood pedophilia ring, in which he promised he would finally name names as he’s been teasing since 2011. There’s a trailer now and everything. According to Meaww (girl, I don’t know either), (my) TRUTH: The Rape of 2 Coreys (girl, I don’t know either) is scheduled to be released online on March 3, but it will stream only once so “interested viewers across the world will have to watch it at the same time.” The film will be available to stream, for $20, on Corey’s new website WWW.MYTRUTHDOC.COM (Cory’s capitalization, not mine) which isn’t up quite yet but, per his Instagram, he expects “THIS SITE 2 B FULLY FUNCTIONAL SOMETIME AFTER VDAY!”

Here’s The Trailer For “Whitney”, Another Whitney Houston Documentary

April 27, 2018 / Posted by:

You won’t find a lot of people arguing the fact that Whitney Houston was one of the most incredible vocalists in several generations. However, one might argue that we know enough about Whitney’s life and tragic death to last last several generations more. But the reality is that in death, as in life, everybody wants a piece of Whitney. So we’re getting another documentary. A trailer for Whitney, the latest documentary about her life and career, has just been released.

Here’s Whitney:

According to People, what distinguishes this documentary from the Showtime doc titled Can I Be Me, is that Whitney is the only doc to be officially sanctioned by Whitney’s estate. That probably means Whitney will focus more on Whitney’s talent, and less on her drug use, alleged bisexuality and relationship with Robyn Crawford.

Robyn doesn’t seem to be a presence in Whitney and frankly, I’m surprised Cissy Houston even allowed Bobby Brown to participate at all. I guess he’d be pretty hard to wipe from the record, though I’m sure Cissy has looked into it more than once.

I really don’t need another Whitney biography, but I’ll watch it anyway because any footage of Whitney performing is footage I want to watch. And since we already know all about the ugly in Whitney’s life, it might be a nice change to see her beauty and talent filtered through her mother’s loving gaze.

Angelina Jolie Will Appear In A Documentary With Queen Elizabeth II About Trees

April 10, 2018 / Posted by:

According to People Queen Elizabeth loves trees. Angelina Jolie also loves trees. No reason why the two shouldn’t hook up and enjoy some trees together. I bet Lizzy’s got some sweet emerald encrusted bongs in her Crown Jewels drawer. Angie will be appearing in an ITV documentary called The Queen’s Green Planet and as I’m typing this I’m realizing my mistake. I think People is referring to actual trees not, you know, “trees”. So much for that fantasy. That was always more Brad’s bag anyway.
