Chris Evans And Alba Baptista Have Been A Thing “For Over A Year” And Are “In Love”
There have been rumors for a while now that 41-year-old Chris Evans is getting with 25-year-old Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, but now it’s out of the rumor stage and into the confirmed stage. Just a few days ago, People Magazine declared Chris Evans as their Sexiest Man Alive of 2022, and during his SMA interview, he said that he definitely wants to get married and have kids. And what do you know? A “source” (“Why are you all looking at me?!” – Chris Evans’ publicist) tells People that Chris and Alba are not only together, but their hearts and parts are throbbing for each other. And a quick minute after People confirmed that Chris and Alba are together, Page Six posted pics of them holding hands on the pap stroll. So yeah, a middle-aged movie star from Massachusetts hit the pap stroll with his younger girlfriend whose Hollywood career is on the come-up. I swear, if Chris and his family are papped gifting Alba with a cardboard cutout of herself, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas need to call their lawyers immediately. That was their act!
Fans have been putting their Detective La Toya-brand magnifying glasses over this possible relationship since 2020, when they noticed that Chris started following Alba on Instagram. But the rumors really started early last year, when Alba started following Chris and some of his relatives, and the two of them made Instagram videos and posts from the same location. Well, their love isn’t a rumor anymore. As Lizzo loudly cried, a source told People that Chris and Alba are in 💕love💕.
The Lightyear actor, 41, has been dating Portuguese actress Alba Baptista “for over a year and it’s serious,” a source tells PEOPLE, adding, “They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her.”
And that was followed up with pap pics of Chris and Alba holding hands in NYC:

Alba has been acting in TV shows and movies in Portugal since she was 16. Her big Hollywood break came when she got the starring role in the Netflix series Warrior Nun. The show debuted in 2020, and its second season just so happened to come out on Netflix yesterday. Coincidence, I’m sure! Baptista, 25, starred in this year’s Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. She speaks five languages and is the daughter of an engineer and a translator. In 2018, she did an extensive amount of humanitarian work at an orphanage in Cambodia focusing on education. Last year, she won the Shooting Star award at the Berlin Film Festival.
As far as we know, Chris’ last girlfriend was Jenny Slate. And late last year, it was rumored that Selena Gomez was getting a piece of America’s Ass. As for Alba’s dating life, Hollywood Life says that in May 2021, some thought she was dating her Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris co-star Lucas Bravo after they were spotted on vacation together. But the Selena and Lucas rumors may have just been a smokescreen to cover up the real love between Chris and Alba.
Hopefully, the next update from People about Chris and Alba includes a quote from the only one whose opinion about this matters. Do I even need to say who?!
