Stacey Dash Posted A Tear-Filled Video After Just Learning That DMX Died A Year Ago
Someone needs to update Stacey Dash, on a FEW THINGS, but especially on celebrity deaths, it seems. Stacey (or at least they tell me that’s Stacey Dash in the screen shots above) was absolutely SHOCKED to learn that rapper DMX tragically died of an overdose a year ago at age 50. Stacey learned the news the way people learn most things nowadays, through TikTok, and she decided to make a whole video about how she didn’t know he died. The hashtag “RIP” on a DMX song sent Stacey into a tailspin and she posted a crying video on Instagram. I guess Stacey is just lucky she learned of DMX’s death from a TikTok and not when his hologram inevitably goes on tour–that would have taken her OUT!
Last year, DMX was in the hospital for several days after suffering a drug overdose, but ultimately he was unable to recover and passed away last April. It was trending on Twitter and Black people across North America definitely were talking about it. But Stacey missed that, which makes sense since she’s always got her head up her own ass. She doesn’t have time to look at the news! But apparently, Stacey is a DMX fan and decided to mourn his loss a year later. via HotNewHipHop:
But according to Stacey, she recently found out about X’s death on TikTok and is just now beginning her grieving process. “I was strolling through #tiktok and found a #DMX song that has saved me many times,” she wrote. “Suddenly it says #RIP i know I am late, i did not know he passed away, he #OD I am heartbroken – he was such a great guy.”
In the teary video, the College Hill: Celebrity Edition star added, “I didn’t know. From a cocaine overdose. I am today six years and one month clean. It breaks my heart that he lost to it. Please don’t lose.”

Okay, but the background music?! And of course, the comments on Stacey’s video are roasting her ass. Even Tyrese decided to go in on her, saying:
“Ain’t no way this is real.”
Other fans chimed in saying things like, “She was too busy storming the Capitol,” and “I don’t know if I should laugh or feel bad.”
“Storming the Capitol” had me in stitches but honestly, where was Stacey on January 6th? She and Sydney Sweeney need to provide itineraries.
I hope that Stacey decided to Google all the celebrities she may have loved but stopped paying attention to because I have a feeling she might start sobbing if she finds out Betty White passed away last year. Hell, she may even lose it if she finds out Whitney Houston died! Someone let her know before she hears “I Will Aways Love You” and gets the shock of her life!
