Jon Gosselin Claims That Kate Gosselin Stole $100,000 From Their Kids In 2019; Kate Says That She Was Just Borrowing It, But Still Hasn’t Paid It Back

It’s been well over a decade since the show Jon and Kate Plus 8 was on the air, and their twins and sextuplets are all grown, so I was sure that Kate Gosselin’scombusted possum who wants to speak to the manager haircut” would fade out along with their time in the spotlight, but I still get stuck in the customer service line behind an exploding head who wants to burn the Wal-Mart to the fucking ground every now and then, and they continue to hate each other with such a fiery passion that a flickering ember on the Gosselin wick still burns. The Sun revealed that back in 2019, Jon Gosselin took Kate to court when he noticed that $100,000 was missing from the accounts of two of their 18-year-old sextuplets who defected from Kate to live with Jon: Hannah and Collin. The six who remained with Kate are the rest of the sextuplets: Aaden, Joel, Alexis, and Leah, and twins Mady and Cara (21). Kate admitted that she withdrew the funds, but was just borrowing the money “to survive.” However, she has yet to repay them, and it’s unclear if she took even more than that amount since the other six children (and their fat bank accounts) were under her care.

Jon, 45, once said that he almost went bankrupt keeping the kids off of TV; over the years he’s resorted to serving, stripping, forcing venomous spiders to bite him so he could have stories to take to the press, and has since been DJing to secure his bags. Jon sat down to chat with The Sun to talk about Kate’s alleged thievery, which is probably a much easier way for him to cash out than trying to satisfy a crowd where one half wants the big reveal to be set to Freebird while the other’s vying for Rump Shaker.

The former Kate Plus Eight star said he noticed a large amount of money appeared to be missing from his kids Hannah and Colin’s trust accounts when he gained custody of the two children in 2018 and saw their bank statements. The former couple set up a trust account for the kids to keep their earnings from appearances and promotional activities safe until they turned 18.

Jon stated Kate never paid the money back to the kids, according to the accounts he has for the children who were in his custody – Hannah and Colin.

Obviously, it super fucking wrinkled Jon’s Affliction tee collection that Kate was just casually skimming off the top of their kids’ cash to make ends meet while he was slapping it from side-to-side for a mostly empty room of barflies.

“It’s disgusting and it’s morally wrong,” Jon told The U.S. Sun. Parents are not supposed to withdraw any money from these accounts without permission and without drawing up paperwork that they will pay it back – but she has produced no paperwork and no payments have been made. You can’t just live off your kids’ money.”

“It makes me feel disgusted. She has been on TV telling the world she has saved her children’ s money when she’s actually been stealing from them – she’s a hypocrite. There’s been no remorse from her at all. Now they’re 18 she thinks she can get away scott-free. I don’t know what the other children know about this money. I want them to know about this.”

Kate, who has been kind of quiet, seems to think she’s evolved into more of a “wishes to discourse with the commissioner” echelon, admits that she took the money. But, she said she was just borrowing it–even though she didn’t fill out the required paperwork to do so. And in true narcissistic asshole form, she also says that since she paid out-of-pocket for the kids’ private schooling, they actually owe her more than $100,000 anyway.

When questioned in court the following year, Kate admitted she withdrew two lots of $50,000 from the kids trust, adding, “I will have to keep borrowing from it to survive,” according to bombshell court documents. However that same year Kate had purchased a $750,000 lakeside home in North Carolina with a swimming pool.

This is despite her admitting in her court testimony that she was a “TV personality, author and registered nurse” who made $40,000 per episode for her TLC show Kate Plus Dates which aired in summer 2018 for a six-episode season.

She also confirmed she had not worked in 2019 – other than finishing off some filming she had already been paid for – and was paying her bills with “a lot of hope and a lot of prayer” along with the “loan” from the kids’ trusts.

Kate tried to claim in the testimony that the kids actually owe her thousands of dollars for school fees she has paid for them in the past. “I mean I paid $387,000 for their private school tuition out of our income, not the trust over the years,” she says in the court papers. “So I mean I’m not looking to collect that but I borrowed $100,000 from the kids’ trust. And it owes me $387,000 technically.”

The judge seemed to get this one right when he ruled that Kate is a dishonest trick who needs to get her tightly-wound ass back to work.

In his ruling, the judge in the case stated that Kate should have made plans to repay the loans. He said: “If these truly were loans there should be evidence of repayments sometime in the future.” The judge goes on to say “the evidence does not support mother’s argument that her earning capacity is zero”.

Kate filed a counter-claim, but that got slapped down faster than one of her children daring to ask for another snack after their single pretzel stick didn’t satiate them. She also got slapped with contempt of court for Kate-ing.

In a counter claim filed later in 2019, Kate claimed that the courts had committed an error in finding that she had failed to produce documentation to support her lack of income.

However in a November 2019 ruling, her claim was “dismissed.” Kate was found to be in contempt of the court and ordered to pay $1500 attorney’s fees to her ex-husband, who was also given control of Hannah and Colin’s trust accounts.

So, Kate is on the hook to pay Hannah and Collin back but so far hasn’t, and acted like a huge Kate Gosselin when the kids tried to talk to her about it, so it’s now up to the kids to file their own civil suit since they’re legally adults now.

Jon said Hannah are Collin are furious that their own mother would take their money. “Hannah and Collin are really mad,” he said. “Hannah called Kate the other day about it but Kate didn’t seem to care. Now Hannah and Collin are 18 – it’s up to them to file a civil suit against her to get the money back.”

Who’d have thought that a married couple who clearly hated each other from the very first scene of the first episode of their show with an actual army of children who grew up in front of cameras would end up with this brand of problem 15 years after the fact (besides literally everyone)? The fact that Kate hasn’t become some kind of highly-paid consultant for people in jobs like pyramid schemes, extended car warranty sales, or other obnoxious professions astounds me. She has that unlikeable quality that they’d probably refer to as “sticktoitiveness” that keeps me away from the “hey hun!” messages from girls I haven’t spoken to since high school who are trying to peddle the rest of their weight loss patches by the end of the month (on the last day of the month).
