Hilaria Baldwin Announces That She’s Taking A Social Media Break
There comes a time in every attention whore’s life when they announce that they’ve decided to quit social media in an effort to do some self-reflecting and find inner peace. Chrissy Teigen has done it, Kanye West has done it (more than once), Alec Baldwin has done it, so we all know that leaving Mark Zuckerberg’s Instagram is the key to becoming a better person. Now Hilaria Baldwin joins the ranks of the “I quit this bitch” and has declared her temporary departure from social media. Godspeed, sweet princessa!
This isn’t the first time Hilaria suspended her favorite pastime of posting essays on Instagram. She did this back in 2020, too. It’s ok if you don’t remember because her absence was sadly very short-lived. The last break was due to her Spaniard-by-way-of-Boston scandal. Now this one appears to be due to the ongoing investigation of Alec and his involvement in the Rust shooting. via Page Six:
Hilaria Baldwin is taking a social media hiatus amid her husband Alec’s ongoing wrongful death suit stemming from the deadly shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the “Rust” set.
“Hey friends! I’m gonna take a social break. I promise I’ll be back/ I love you all and know you worry, so want to give you a heads up,” she wrote in a statement posted to her Instagram on Friday. “I might check in from time to time, dropping you a photo, and letting you know we are ok.”
The yogi, 38, then offered some advice to her fans and wished them well while she took a step back from the public.
“Be good to yourselves and so much love and good energy to you,” she wrote. “See you soon.”
She then added in the caption of the post, “I cherish our community…I’ll come right back.”
Hilaria’s social media break comes just weeks after the family of Hutchins filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Alec.
Her community of Russian bots must be so upset! To be fair, this is probably the smartest thing Hilaria has done in a while. Presumably, this suspension has been ordered by Alec and Hilaria’s team of lawyers. (Unfortunately, they didn’t get to Alec in time to stop him from ranting about Buddha and putting out a treatise on the principles of truth.) But Hilarious is quite clever and figured out a way around the self-imposed social media moratorium. Eagle-eyed viewers will notice that her post mentioned that she’ll be checking in from “time to time” and dropping photos. Now you may be asking, “How is this a hiatus if she’s still posting?” Well, this is how they do social media breaks in Barcelona, of course! Sharing pictures of awkward yoga poses during your husband’s legal troubles is very European!
