Adele Showed Up To The BRIT Awards With A Suspiciously Placed Diamond Ring
Well, I guess that’s one way to kill the rumors that there’s trouble in paradise? When in doubt, show up to a high-profile event while wearing a massive 10lb pear-shaped rock on the most suspicious of fingers. At least that’s what Adele did yesterday when she attended the 2022 BRIT Awards. Adele did what Adele does, which is that she shows up at award ceremonies and walks away with an armful of trophies. But things were a little different this time around because it was impossible not to notice the huge diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger.
Adele was the big star of the BRITs this year. Her latest album, 30, took home three awards, which included Best British Song (for “Easy On Me“), British Artist of the Year, and British Album of the Year. Adele is also no stranger to expensive-looking jewelry since Adele is a rich lady who loves opulence and glamour. And she did bring the glamour with an Armani Privé dress in black velvet. But she also had pretty much everyone wondering if her boyfriend of about six months, Rich Paul, had proposed recently. Because that is an engagement-looking ring if I have ever seen one.

Adele kept her ring on even after a few costume changes, like when she accepted the award for Album of the Year.

Some people on Twitter speculated that it might be an old ring, like her wedding ring from her ex-husband Simon Konecki. This begs the question: Do you think Adele is that budget to re-use old diamond rings for award show appearances? I know times are tough and she just pressed pause on a $2 million-per-show Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace, but come on.
If Adele and Rich Paul are for real engaged, then this would be Adele’s second trip down the aisle, and Rich’s first. They were first seen together last summer when she attended an NBA game (Rich is an NBA agent to players like LeBron James). They went Instagram official in September. I want to believe that if Rich did pop the question, Adele glanced at the size of that diamond and said, “Oi, you really are Rich, ain’t ye? Gotta start doing carpal tunnel wrist exercises to keep this thing steady.”
