Jennifer Hough’s Harassment Lawsuit Against Nicki Minaj Is Not Over And Will Be Refiled In California

Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, were accused of harassing and intimidating Kenneth’s former rape victim, Jennifer Hough. Jennifer sued Nicki and Kenneth over the summer, alleging they were harassing her and even using gang contacts to intimidate her into changing her story and recant that Kenneth raped her at knifepoint. Nicki has denied the gang affiliations and says that Jennifer is just trying to get money out of her. Well, earlier this month, Jennifer dropped Nicki’s name from the New York lawsuit. The Barbz claimed victory but that was premature. Because  Billboard says Jennifer plans to refile her lawsuit against Nicki in California since Nicki lives there. It seems that much like after Cardi B threw that shoe at Nicki’s head and said she would do it again, Jennifer loved suing her the first time and absolutely is down to sue her again and again.

Nicki is probably going to think twice before having her lawyer do a victory lap from now on because after Jennifer dropped her from the first lawsuit, Nicki’s lawyer was out here saying how Jennifer’s team were “bottom-feeding lawyers” who were going after “frivolous actions” against a celebrity hoping for money. Well, here’s another one! Jennifer’s team explained in court why they dropped the New York case:

During a hearing in Manhattan federal court on Thursday, Hough’s attorneys’ revealed why: They plan to refile the case in California federal court. As first reported by Rolling Stone, Hough’s attorneys told the judge they believe it to be a more appropriate jurisdiction for the case because Minaj lives there.

Nicki’s attorney is still up on that high horse, though, and he calls the action a “frivolous gambit” to avoid sanctions that he requested the New York court to put on Jennifer’s team:

“As usual, they have decided to adopt a tactic without bothering to research the law,” said Judd Burstein, lead counsel for Minaj. “Had they done so, they would realize that re-filing their frivolous action in another jurisdiction will only result in another court sanctioning them.”

Jennifer’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburne, says that the case will be refiled in California, but with “different causes of action” and potentially a new, unnamed defendant. Nicki previously admitted that a friend of hers, named “Black,” did speak to Jennifer to arrange a meeting between the two of them, so maybe he’ll be added to the list. And Tyrone also has things to say about Judd’s accusations of frivolity, dropping Nicki’s legal name (Onika Maraj) because he means business:

“If I were Ms. Maraj I would pay close attention to the bill she receives from her counsel… From the beginning of the lawsuit he has engaged in a billing exercise proposing to file a countless number of frivolous sanctions, none of which were filed, and none of which has any merit. I look forward to receiving this latest edition of her counsel’s billing exercise, carefully framed as a sanctions motion.”

Meanwhile, the New York case against Kenneth is still going, and even though Nicki previously avoided a default judgment against her, Jennifer’s team wants the court to grant a default judgment against him, which a judge will “soon” decide on.

If Nicki’s lawyer really wants to hear something frivolous and stupid, he should just ask his client to explain to him how the COVID-19 vaccine affects a man’s ballsack.
