Grimes Is Fine Being A Marie Antoinette-Like “Symbol Of Inequality”

Grimes (real name: Claire Boucher) is very good at explaining how she doesn’t know what the fuck she’s talking about. Since her break up from billionaire and father of her son Elon Musk, in September she’s been MIA from a lot of social media. She took strolls and “trolled” paps with Communism, but that’s about it. But she’s back! Insider reports that Grimes returned to TikTok and she brought with her some nuggets of wisdom. Among Grimes’ genius philosophizing: she’s not going to be afraid to explain her ideas, ideas like how we should redistribute wealth through video games, and she’s okay being seen as a sort of Marie Antoinette “symbol of inequality.” Before you ask, yes, the people tore her ass up in the comments sections.

Grimes started with a TikTok captioned: “back on the internet #sigh.” Hashtag sigh is correct, I let out a big exhale listening to her bullshit. With a crescent moon drawn onto her forehead, Grimes said she had been a “total hermit” and developed “PTSD from public life,” and she said she “developed debilitating anxiety” from being online which she described as “super annoying” for both her and her team. However, the people of Earth were very happy to have a reprieve from her. She continued:

She spoke about her public reputation and anxiety about being online, where she said she’s become a symbol for inequality comparable to the famously extravagant queen of France who was killed by guillotine during the French Revolution. “Somehow ended up as some kind of Marie Antoinette-esque symbol for inequality in the pop stan community, which frankly is fairly entertaining and I’m not mad at that,” the singer said in the video, which currently has 183,600 likes and 1.9 million views.

Grimes isn’t afraid of guillotines though, and said that she’s gonna continue to speak her truth and that people can “prove me wrong.” Quoting Frank Herbert’s Dune, she said “Fear is the mind-killer, first of all. If I’m gonna succumb to my own personal anxieties, then what am I showing my kid, right?”

In her second TikTok, Grimes talked about how she previously said she wanted to redistribute wealth through gaming and explained that “idea“:

Finally, in her last TikTok, Grimes captioned it: “I’d rather be optimistic and wrong than pessimistic and right.”

The people in the comments shit on Grimes’ thoughts:

“Well, at least you know you’re delusional.”

“Yes queen give us nothing.”

“Female version of the dude who starts listening to Joe Rogan and thinks he’s unlocked the secrets of the universe.”

“So painfully out of touch.”

“I’m sorry that happened to you can you Venmo me.”

“She sounds like the random girl who took some of your molly at the rave and won’t go home.”

Clearly, Grimes has not been reading the room because the only Marie Antoinette anyone actually liked for a minute was the one played by Kirsten Dunst in 2006
