Taika Waititi Reportedly Got In Trouble With Marvel Execs For Those Make-Out Pics With Rita Ora And Tessa Thompson
It was weird enough that Taika Waititi and Rita Ora were a thing but then pap pictures came out of the two getting into some kind of make-out/nuzzle-fest with Tessa Thompson. Both Taika and Tessa are currently working on Thor: Love and Thunder, and Marvel is apparently very strict about their image. And I guess a threeway-make-out was not it. Wow, prudes! Sources say that much like a teenage boy whose mom walked in on him with two girls on the bed, Taika has gotten a stern talking to over his raging hormones.
Taika is directing the next Thor movie, which is shooting in Australia, and it stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson. After partying at Taikia’s house in Sydney all night, Taika, Rita, and Tesa were papped on a balcony having some throuple fun. While the Internet had a field day analyzing the sexual chemistry going on between Taika, Rita, and Tessa, The Independent says that Marvel execs were less impressed. Sources say that Taika was told to cool it:
According to The Daily Telegraph, Marvel bosses have reportedly reprimanded the Kiwi filmmaker for the photograph.
An insider close to Thor: Love and Thunder’s production told the publication that the behavior exhibited in the photo is “not exactly the image they’re looking to project in relation to one of their biggest franchises.”
They added that although the 45-year-old has a reputation for being a “party animal,” the photos “crossed a line” for Marvel bosses.
A threeway-makeout is crossing the line for these people? Clearly they haven’t seen any of the fanfiction written about these characters. The smut? Honey, this is nothing. Horny geeks pay your bills, you little shits! But I mean, let’s be real, this movie doesn’t come out until May next year, so really what has Marvel mad is probably that Taika couldn’t wait to do a promo make-out closer to the release date next year. I mean, come on, all studios want you to save the stunts for marketing pushes!
