59-Year-Old Sean Penn Got Married To His 28-Year-Old Girlfriend Leila George
Congratulations to this dirty old man and his brand new child bride! Don’t worry, Leonardo DiCaprio didn’t get hitched (Ha! Camilla wishes). And, nope, I’m not talking about Dennis Quaid. It’s Sean Penn, who turns 60 in a couple of weeks, and 28-year-old Leila George.
Leila follows in the illustrious footsteps of Sean’s other ex-wives Madonna, 61, and Robin Wright, 54. According to People, Leila shares Sean’s “commitment to philanthropy”. When she’s not saving the world, she works as an actress (duh), and starred as the daughter in James Franco’s remake of Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? (coincidentally the exact question she asked her momma when she started seeing Sean).
We know about this super-secret union thanks to an Instagram post from the couple’s blabbermouth friend, philanthropist Irena Medavoy. Looks like Team Penn didn’t approve, because Irene deleted it pretty much immediately. Here are the details, via People)
“We are so happy for @leilageorge #seanpenn getting married. We love you,” Medavoy wrote in a celebratory social media post on Friday, alongside a slideshow of images, including a photo that showed off the actress’ blue engagement ring, as well as a pair of matching gold rings worn by the couple.
“We are over the moon to find your soul mate true partner,” she added. “You are meant to be together God Bless you both.”
Rosanna Arquette also wished the couple well in the comments section, writing, “Wonderful. ???? Love and light,” while Josh Brolin replied with a series of heart emojis.
Awww, I didn’t realize these two were “over the moon”! Now I feel bad for mocking the age difference.

Leila was born in 1992, which makes her a year younger than Sean’s daughter Dylan Penn. Leila and Sean have been dating since 2016. Her parents are actors Vincent D’Onofrio and Greta Scacchi, who is the same age as Sean. To me, Vincent will always be the gross “sugar water” bug-alien from Men in Black. Greta is currently married to her first cousin, a fact I would be remiss not to mention.
Wifey #3 better send Charlize Theron a giant “Thank You” gift basket for ghosting Sean’s ass the year before they started dating. Oh, who am I kidding, these two soulmates woulda found each other regardless. Ya can’t fight true love.
