66-year-old Dennis Quaid was supposed to marry Laura Savoie, his 27-year-old Ph.D. student girlfriend of about a year, back in April in Hawaii, but then that hater of true love known as coronavirus came along and tried to ruin it. Well, coronavirus may have fucked up a lot of things (read: EVERYTHING) but it has not messed with the everlasting love between a sun-roasted daddy and the woman who is one year younger than his oldest son. Because Dennis and Laura eloped earlier this month. Every cherub in the world would breathe a long sigh of relief over true love prevailing but they don’t want to get corona!
Laura first started rubbing up against Dennis’s pepaw cum gutters in May 2019, after being introduced to each other at some business event, and just a few months later in October, they were engaged. Dennis and Laura decided to forget a big wedding in Hawaii and instead eloped at a resort in Santa Barbara, CA on June 2nd. It was only them and the pastor. They gave the EXCLUSIVO details and pictures to People Magazine, because even a teeny wedding in Santa Barbara doesn’t come cheap. And they probably married on the hush because they didn’t want Dennis’ pesky twins fucking shit up!

Dennis and Laura tell People that they will go on a honeymoon next month and throw a reception with family and friends in Nashville later on. Until then, they will stay home, basking in the Christian beauty of their special union. Dennis said this about Laura and their love:
“I just love who she is as a person,” the actor adds. “Her character, her intelligence, of course, her beauty. And her point of view of the world.”
“We’re both Christians, and right from the start God has always had a hand in the relationship,” he adds. “I think that’s where the real strength comes from.”
“God“? That’s a funny way to say “my Esurance money and her blonde youth.”
Many look at that picture and see a young bride and her hot daddy, but Dennis said that age ain’t nothing but a number:
As for the couple’s age difference, “it really just doesn’t come up,” says the actor. “There’s just something timeless about us. We’re partners in our relationship and in life. It’s love. And love just has a way of surprising you.”
Laura is Dennis’s fourth wife. He was married to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983. He was married to Meg Ryan from 1991 to 2001. Dennis and Meg have one son together, 28-year-old Jack Quaid. And Dennis and his third wife, Kimberly Quaid, were married from 2004 to 2018. They share twins, 12-year-olds Thomas Boone Quaid and Zoe Grace Quaid.
Dennis has said that he and Laura wanted to wait to get married before “starting a family.” Shit, if I was Laura, I’d be getting into that baby-making bareback action now, before Dennis has a “love at first sight” moment with his future fifth wife as she comes out of a restaurant after celebrating her 18th birthday. Well, hopefully Dennis and Laura’s timeless love lasts as long as the nightly nightmares I have after watching Randy Quaid and Evi Quaid’s sex tapes. In other words: forever.
