And now for some much-needed wholesome content starring the one and only, Dame Judi Dench who, once this pandemic settles down, has a serious shot at landing a judging position on America’s Best Dance Crew––assuming that’s still a thing. If not, it should be brought back just for her.
Thankfully, 85-year-old Dame Judi is staying out of harm’s way––but that doesn’t mean she can’t get down and flex with the best of them. Because Judi has now become a bona fide TikTok star at a time when we’ve never needed TikTok stars more.
Judi is isolating somewhere out in the country, but she still managed to become a viral sensation when her grandson, Sam “Not Ed Sheeran” Williams, got his cardigan-wearing granny to bust out some fresh moves for a dance challenge that he later posted to his own TikTok account. In the clip, Sam props up an iPad in one location, while filming himself and his gran shuffling seamlessly through Yung Gravy’s “Cheryl”. And, in what should come as no surprise to anyone, Judi hits all the right notes, in time, and with all the requisite swagger.
Judi, who is only a Grammy away from becoming an EGOT, needs to hook up with Yung Gravy and do a remix so that she can add a Best Rap Collaboration trophy to her shelf.
