Nicki Minaj’s Husband Finally Registered As A Sex Offender

March 9, 2020 / Posted by:

Back in 1995, Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, was convicted of trying to rape a 16-year-old girl at knifepoint. He later served 7 years in prison for manslaughter for shooting a man to death in 2002 (he took a plea, the original charge was 2nd degree murder). There’s no national registry of murderers, but because of the rape conviction, Kenneth was required to be registered as a sex offender in his home state of New York. Same goes for California where he’s lived since his 2019 marriage to his old flame Nicki. Now, thanks to Megan’s Law, the denizens of Beverly Hills 90210 just got another little pin on the map of their hood. Kenneth has finally registered himself as a sex offender in the state of California, something he failed to do back in July of last year when he first moved there.

Failing to register in a timely manner recently got him arrested after his name was flagged during a traffic stop. After paying a $20,000 bond (ok after Nicki paid) he still failed to register, which then landed him in jail, costing him (ok costing Nicki) an additional $100K in bond money to get out. Now he’s posted under up under pretrial supervision in Beverly Hills with an ankle monitor and the uncomfortable pleasure of his own company.

But don’t feel too bad for him. Now that he’s registered and it’s public information, I looked him up on Google maps and on Zillow. It’s pretty nice if you like contemporary architecture and Terrazzo tiles. What it lacks in privacy, it more than makes up for in mirrored surfaces in which to contemplate the baseness of one’s own soul. According to Page Six:

Kenneth Petty, 41, is listed in the California Department of Justice’s database with a new mugshot to boot. His offense is entered as “attempted rape by force or fear.”

Petty was placed in federal custody earlier this month for failing to register as a sex offender in California following his move to the Golden State from New York, where he is already registered. He was convicted in 1995 of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl.

It’s not surprising that Kenneth is making that face in his mug shot. Nicki can’t be too pleased that her address is now public knowledge, especially considering her previous house was trashed and burgled of $200,000 worth of jewelry and other property a couple of years ago. But I guess that’s just the risk you take when you follow your heart instead of a single solitary ounce of common sense or decency.
