Nicki Minaj Got Married To Kenneth Petty Months After Getting Together With Him

Looks like Nicki Minaj made good on her threat to marry her sex offender/convicted killer boyfriend Kenneth “Zoo” Petty and is officially a married woman. Nicki announced her marital status via Instagram using bride and groom emojis, so we know it’s real and will last forever.

I mean, things were already pretty official given that Kenneth got Nicki’s name tattooed on his neck and Nicki has been calling him her husband since forever (listen, a few weeks is “forever” to them, okay?). And neck tattoos are a pretty solid indicator that a couple will stay together forever.

This is the riveting marriage announcement that Mrs. Maraj-Petty put on Instagram:

36-year-old Nicki and 41-year-old Kenneth Petty have been dating since last year and went “Instagram official” in December

Nicki has said before that she doesn’t want a big wedding right now because she’s too busy with her career and possibly touring with Chris Brown (and just making overall great life choices). But a big wedding will come later, provided Kenneth doesn’t kill anybody. via People:

Even though she made it official, Minaj still had music priorities to attend to.

“I have to work on my album and I have a lot to focus on that I don’t want to do the big wedding now,” she said at the time. “We’ll do the big wedding later.”

There’s also been pregnancy rumors ever since Nicki’s engagement, and she has said herself that she’s retiring from music to start a family.  Kenneth already has 5 kids (which is quite impressive considering he’s spent 11 of his adult years locked up) so I’m sure a baby announcement (with the baby and probably the eggplant emoji) coming any day now.

Well, and while I don’t think it’s a good idea to take a page from Mama June’s dating advice book by getting with a man who can’t go within 100 yards of a school, Nicki’s brother is also a convicted sex offender. So at least there will be things to talk about at a future Thanksgiving dinner.
