Lori Loughlin And Mossimo Plead Not Guilty To New Bribery Charges
As you know, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are in deep legal shit. After getting charged in the College Admissions Scandal that scooped up a bunch of rich people trying to game the system through their wildly-disposable income, these two were charged, refused to take a plea, and are facing prison time. If Lori and Mossimo took a plea and pled guilty, they might have already washed their hands of the problem by serving a quick minute in the clink like Felicity Huffman. But no.
Lori and Mossimo are adamant that they did nothing wrong despite the mountains of evidence suggesting otherwise. The government then slapped them with additional charges hoping that would scare them into a deal and yet here we are. Lori and Mossimo are saying, “Screw you, we’re innocent!”
It’s been reported that Lori and Mossimo’s lives have been upended by this scandal. They’re reportedly in “chaos” and their daughters–Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose–could also be on the hook because it’s very likely they knew about the bribes themselves, having posed for fake rowing pictures. But still, they refuse to take any amount of accountability for their own actions and have once again claimed full innocence.
ABC News reports that today the couple asked a judge to accept their plea of not guilty to the new bribery charges they were hit with, according to some documents filed in Boston federal court. They also requested to not have to appear in court for arraignment on the new charge later this month because they’ve already done that whole arraignment thing.
Again, the person who arranged this scheme, Rick Singer, has already pleaded guilty and gave up all the details on everyone including Lori and Mossimo. And remember when Mossimo lost it on a counselor who was like, “Uh, those girls do not row.” So quite a bit of evidence points the opposite direction of innocent.
It seems that the main point of these new charges is to force longer prison time if Lori and Mossimo get convicted. So really, they just decided to go all in, I guess? I thought they were leaning towards a good decision? Guess not. Can’t wait for these two to be found guilty and spend a couple monthsAu in prison instead of the two weeks they could’ve bargained their way down to. Better stock up on Kanye West-brand prison shoes! Don’t want to catch one of those R. Kelly toe nail infections from the prison showers.
