KFC Is Offering A Cheetos Chicken Sandwich

Good news for lovers of soggy Cheetos and sodium headaches! KFC will be offering a new menu item featuring everybody’s favorite weird dick-shaped snack, the Cheeto. According to Eater, beginning July 1 and for a limited time, KFC will be offering a Cheetos sandwich that will be available nationwide. However, those few Americans lucky enough to live in New York City (or willing to travel) will have the opportunity to sample an entire pop-menu of KFC by Cheeto foods, but you have to act fast. The pop-up “event” is one day only. Reservations are recommended if you want VIP access which I guess means bottle service and a lap dance from Chester Cheetah.

Here’s how Eater describes the Cheeto sammy:

This comfort food mashup is a crispy chicken filet that’s smothered in Cheetos sauce and wedged inside a standard KFC bun with mayo and a layer of regular Cheetos.

It looks like none of the recipes developed by America’s preeminent Cheetos Chef Anne Burrell will be on offer at the pop-up “event”. Anne’s menu was inspired by her background in Italian cooking while KFC’s new menu items are more focussed on American “comfort” “food” “classics” (emphasis mine). Here’s what  you can expect (via KFC):

To celebrate, KFC and Cheetos are going in on a one-time only, finger-lickin’ cool pop-up party in New York City on Thursday, June 27, between 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. ET, offering a free sneak preview and tasting of the dangerously cheesy sandwich.

Hosted by Chester Cheetah, party goers will experience exclusive menu items* like the Cheetos-fied KFC Hot Wings, Cheetos Loaded Fries and KFC Mac and Cheetos Bowl. The event-only menu will not be available at any other KFC, so get it while you can!

This bitch is probably on his way to the Taco Bell Resort proving once and for all that there is no honor among corporate fast food mascots. The least he could do is represent by stopping by Forever 21 on his way there to pick up a couple sweet Cheetos fits.
