Mel B Joked That Posh Spice Will Make An Appearance On Tour

The Spice Girls are going on a reunion tour that currently only six dates and 80% of the original lineup. Entertainment Tonight says they stopped by the Heart Breakfast radio show this morning (of which Emma Bunton is a co-host) to talk about the tour and drum up some ticket sales, which officially go on sale this weekend. Even though Victoria Beckham has made it very clear she’s not joining them, noted Posh troll Mel B hinted that she might show up.

The conversation about Victoria’s absence happened almost immediately. Mel C played diplomatic and said that it’s tough, because Victoria is a huge part of the group. Emma’s co-host Jamie Theakston chimed in and said “Or was a huge part,” Mel C corrected him and said:

“She still is, she still is. There were times, like I mentioned earlier, I wasn’t sure, and we really supported each other and the decisions that we make. We really support her and she’s really supporting us. And I think that’s a big part of our ethos.”

That’s when Mel B added:

“She’s joining us at Wembley on June 14.”

Jamie made a joke that that’s going to become the main headline from their interview, and he wasn’t wrong. OK! Magazine’s headline read: “The Spice Girls CONFIRM Victoria Beckham will join Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner on 2019 tour.” That’s a bit of a reach, since Mel B was clearly kidding. And she didn’t end there. Mel B also joked that the girls would be in the studio next week to record a new album. Mel C, Emma, and Geri Halliwell-Horner-Whatever all shot that rumor down, saying that Mel B was “fibbing” and that their tour would be nothing but hits.

Hits that will make them lots of money. According to TMZ, each Spice Girl is rumored to be walking away from their reunion tour with $3.2 million. Sources say that each girl will get paid almost $550,000 for each show. If the shows sell well enough, they could add more tour dates, which means more money. Those same sources claim that if more shows are added, each Spice Girl could be looking at up to $6.5 million.

Additionally, if Posh had agreed to the tour, there was a chance each Spice Girl could have walked away with $13 million. That’s all the confirmation I needed to know that there won’t be any special guest appearances by Victoria Beckham. If Victoria was too good for $13 million, she’s definitely not joining them for a measly $3.2 million. That’s less than what she probably spends each month on whatever reverse-Botox she uses to strengthen and tense up her frowning muscles around her eyes and mouth.

Here’s more of Scary, Sporty, and Ginger on their way into the Heart Breakfast studio this morning.
