Jay-Z Addressed His Issues With Kanye West

For awhile now, Jay-Z and Kanye West’s friendship situation has been reminiscent of that friendship you have with that one person that you like but is always causing a problem in a public setting. Either they have a personality issue, or they can’t hold their booze, or they temporarily claim allegiance to the stupid and problematic. You’re loyal to them but you can only drag them out of so many parties before they’re thrown out and have to make sure they’re not going to murder the Uber driver so many times.

That’s what Hova and Yeeszus’ relationship was like for awhile. That was until Kanye’s meltdown late last year when he talked a lot of ish about Jay. What tipped the scales for Jay was when Kanye started in on his wife and child, Empress Beyonce and Blue “The Messiah” Ivy, during a show in Sacramento.

People tells us that Jay-Z appeared on the podcast Rap Radar, and was asked about his track “Kill Jay-Z” from his new album 4.44. The lyrics to the song would appear to reference his crazy-ass friend. But Jay says that the song is actually Jay-Z talking to Jay-Z.

“It’s not even about a Kanye diss. It’s not a diss, I’m talking to myself the whole time,” JAY-Z said.

And the lyrics about having dropped out of school (Kanye’s debut album is called The College Dropout) are supposedly about himself, too.

“I’m not talking about Kanye when I say, ‘You dropped out of school, you lost your principles,’ I’m talking about me!”

But Kanye’s konniption, where he accused Queen Bey of VMA chicanery, was definitely his least favorite insane hip-hop outburst of the year.

“You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage. But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it..We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me.”

Jay-Z has more money than Croseus and used to deal crack. This means he probably knows shady people that he can totally afford to hire to do unsavory things. So I wouldn’t cross him even if the plastic fumes wafting off my wife and her horrible family had temporarily driven me insane. Yeezus knew this, which is why he also asked Jay not to dial up his “killers” and “send them at my head” at the end of his concert meltdown. And it sounds like they won’t be hugging it out anytime soon.

“You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows. ‘Cause we’ve never let this much space go between one of our disagreements and we’ve had many. That’s part of who we are.”

Hopefully, these two can work out their differences. It’s probably going to take a lot of Depakote on the part of Yeezy. Especially for when Jay demands that he approach The Anointed One (tn Blue Ivy Carter) on his hands and knees to beg for her forgiveness.
