Bella Hadid Isn’t Crazy About Selena Gomez Dating The Weeknd
Bella Hadid is seen above letting you know how she feels about her ex-boyfriend rebounding with one of her friends, but if you ask Selena Gomez, they’re more like barely acquaintances.
Shortly after Selena Gomez was papped hanging on The Weeknd outside of a restaurant a week ago, Bella Hadid poured gasoline on their friendship and lit a match by unfollowing Selena on Instagram. That unfollow was no accident, and it sounds like Bella isn’t changing her mind anytime soon. TMZ says that Bella feels Selena is a shady-ass bitch who stabbed her in the back by hooking up with her ex.
Sources claim that Bella feels “betrayed” by both The Weeknd and Selena. Even though Bella was the one who dumped The Weeknd in November, she still thinks it was tacky of him to start seeing Selena so soon after they split up. A source close to Selena tells TMZ that The Weeknd started high-register singing about coke and boredom into her ear about two months ago. The source claims Selena and The Weeknd even spent the holidays together.
Bella is reportedly especially angry because she and her sister Gigi Hadid were vacant-eyed angels who helped Selena while she was dealing with shit in her personal life. But yet another source tells UsWeekly that Selena is barely friends with the Hadids.
“Selena is not good friends with either Gigi or Bella. She knows them through other people, but they are just acquaintances. She is friendly with them, but not friends with them.”
TMZ has a source that says the same thing, but also side-eyes Bella’s hurt feelings and accuses her of playing “the victim card.” That card sounds like the best-selling item in Taylor Swift’s Etsy store. Speaking of Taylor Swift, she’s been dragged into this mess now too.
The same source tells TMZ that there’s no drama in Taylor’s squad, because Bella isn’t a member and Gigi barely has a guest pass. Selena and Taylor are close friends, but the Hadid sisters are “merely distant acquaintances” to Taylor. Um, that source might want to rethink their shit-talking strategy. A few months ago Taylor clapped like a trained seal in the front row at Gigi’s Tommy Hilfiger fashion show, and just recently recorded a song for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack with Gigi’s boyfriend Zayn Malik. If those don’t both sound like favors you do out of the goodness of your own heart for a close friend, then I don’t know what is.
Here’s Bella hanging out with Gigi and their mama Yolanda Foster in New York City on Saturday. She and Gigi also went boxing together. I can’t imagine who she was pretending the punching bag was.
