This is surely not the news anyone wanted to read as they head into the weekend or any day for that matter. It’s also a sobering reminder that this pandemic is still out there happening in a bad way, and continues to be ground zero for sadness. Marvin Lee Aday, but known to everyone forever as Meat Loaf, died yesterday at the age of 74 after becoming seriously ill.

In a bit of marketing subgenius, 72-year-old Meat Loaf is now shilling UK Italian restaurant chain Frankie & Benny’s new vegan menu. Because he’s called “Meat” and it’s vegan. GET IT? In an interview with The Daily Mail, Meat claimed that even when he was at his Fight Club‘s “Bitch Tits Bob” heaviest, he was a sex god. He also revealed himself as a climate change denier and says that 16-year-old activist and President Trump irritant Greta Thunberg has been “brainwashed.” No, Meat, that’s not Frankie and Benny’s non-vegetarian offerings cooking that you’re smelling, that’s actually the scent of EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA BURNING ALIVE IN PART DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE.
Meat Loaf Is Recovering After Collapsing On Stage Last Night
Well, this is shitty. Obviously for the person it happened to, but it’s also a little shitty for the audience as well. Nobody should be denied the raw operatic power ballad emotion of the legendary Meat Loaf.
TMZ says that 68-year-old Meat Loaf collapsed on stage at a show in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada last night. It all happened during an encore performance of “I’d Do Anything For Love.” Meat Loaf just sort of lays his mic stand down (always such a goddamn gentleman, that Meat Loaf), and rolls onto the floor. A bunch of musicians and roadies then rush to his side. And as you can see from the video below, it was a really awful, crappy moment for everyone involved.
