Back in January, Selena Gomez and one-half of the DJ duo The Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart were spotted holding hands and going on date nights together. But it looks like their romance was extinguished like one of Drew’s cigarette butts because in a Tik Tok video, Selena can be seen sitting field-side of a soccer game, delicately hinting to the athletes that she’s available by yelling across the field, “I’M SINGLE!!!” The art of subtlety.
While Selena’s been quoted by Cosmopolitan saying, “I like being alone too much,” in a deleted Instagram post, the Only Murderers In The Building star has spun a complete 180 and decided to take “putting yourself out there” on an aggressive new level via People:
In a TikTok video shared on Thursday, the actress, 30, poked fun at the highs and lows of dating while watching a soccer game with friends, hilariously screaming to the athletes: “I’m single. I’m just a little high-maintenance. But I’ll love you soooo much.”
The video quickly went viral, with fans adding in the comment section, “so relatable,” “hilarious,” and “so real.” The Only Murders in the Building star added in the caption: “The struggle man lol.”

I’m sure those soccer players were too mentally engrossed in their game to hear Selena’s catcalls, but even if one of them did happen to hear her hollering, they probably just looked up and saw a blurry brunette dot way on the other side of the field. The best part of this Tik Tok is hopefully putting the nail in the coffin of the rumors that Selena’s been dating messy messy Zayn Malik. If you ask me, hooking up with even the worst player on that soccer team would be better than swapping spit with Zayn Malik.
