Prince William Attended His Ex-Girlfriend’s Wedding Without Kate Middleton

Over the weekend, Prince William attended his ex-girlfriend Rose Farquhar’s wedding without Kate Middleton. Now, this Rose was not the Rose who William denied cheating with back in 2019. That was a Rose by another name: Rose Hansbury, aka Kate’s married ex-best friend. No, newlywed Rose dated William back in 2000, when he was 18 years old. The Daily Mail says Rose was “the Prince’s first serious girlfriend,” and People quotes the 2011 book The Making of a Royal Romance by describing their relationship as “an innocent, tender romance.” Well, maybe not that innocent. Apparently, William and Rose were once caught canoodling in a field by a farmer. “Oy! Stop fuckin’ on me’ land, you little perv- OH. Your majesty! Carry on, then.”

Sexy field canoodling aside, Rose seems to be on good terms with William and Kate. She attended their wedding in 2012. No word on why Kate didn’t go as William’s date. Maybe they couldn’t find a babysitter for the kids. The wedding was held at the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Gloucestershire. Gloucestershire is also where Rose and William met back in the day. He’d just finished his A-levels at Eton and met Rose at the Beaufort Polo Club. A source tells People that William “kept a low profile” at the wedding, which was beautiful despite Rose and her father, Captain Ian Farquhar, arriving late to the ceremony after their car broke down:

“It was a magical winter wedding in the snow,” the insider says. “The bride and groom left in a tunnel of guests with sparklers in the dark, before leaving in the back of a vintage Land Rover. The Cotswolds are so beautiful in the snow!”

My response to this quote was, “Who the fuck are the Cotswolds? More rich people?” Naw, apparently the Cotswolds is a region in central-southwest England. Who knew? Everybody except me? Whoopsies! Other posh-types at the magical winter wedding included Tom Inskip, Jamie Murray Wells, Guy Pelly, Mark Tomlinson, Harry Meade, William’s other ex, Olivia Hunt, and Kate’s now-married ex Rupert Finch. The Daily Mail’s 32-word headline for this story is: “William attends Gloucestershire wedding of former girlfriend Rose Farquhar for an evening of fun with friends after a week of painful bullying and lying claims by Harry and Meghan in Netflix documentary.” So maybe that’s the reason Kate didn’t go to the wedding. She had taken to her bed to recover from “Harry’s unprecedented Netflix attack.” Rest up, Kate! Drinks lots of fluids, get lots of sleep, and, um, maybe avoid Netflix?
