Wendy Williams Gave A Confusing Update On Her Upcoming Podcast And Showed Off Her Swollen Foot

Days after announcing that she’ll be returning as The Queen of What Does That Even Mean? with a post-Wendy Williams Show podcast, Wendy Williams has already put her foot in it. And by “it” I mean in TMZ’s face, and by extension, our faces. During a TMZ Live segment, Wendy gave an update on plans for her new podcast, but not before she reached down under her chair (The purple chair! It seems it wasn’t dumped on the curb in front of the studio as previously reported, unless that’s where Wendy found it) and grabbed either a hairless wombat or a severely swollen foot and showed it to the camera. It looks incredibly painful and Wendy says she’s suffering from lymphedema, which TMZ says is “caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system.” But a foot the size of a 3-month-old baby is not about to stop Wendy from living her best life as a famous podcaster, perhaps working from “Europe, you know, The France,” even though she admits she doesn’t “know what podcast is.

I should start by saying that Wendy looks great in the video, baby elephant foot aside. Her hair and makeup are flawless. But there are tell-tale signs that Podcast: What is it? With Your Host Wendy Williams might not be materializing anytime soon. For one, the enormous diamond ring she’s using to prop up her chin, probably came from her new manager (and former rumored lover), jewelry designer Will Selby. The Sun reports that Wendy fired her previous manager earlier this year after accusing him of charging $10,000 on her Amex card to retain a lawyer in an attempt to gain conservatorship over her. Let’s just hope the young jewelry designer with no management experience that she may or may not be fucking, will do a better job for her. TMZ reports:

One thing ya know about Wendy Williams, she doesn’t tiptoe around anything … which is why she told us — as only Wendy could — about her ongoing medical struggles, and starting her new career.

Wendy joined us Tuesday on “TMZ Live” to tell us more about why she’s turning her back on TV, for now, and instead, choosing to produce her own podcast — and, for her, it comes down to time and money.

Sounds like she’s been doing some homework, because she told us … “When you’re famous, podcasts will make more money for me, being famous, than doing the Wendy Williams Show.”

It sounds like Wendy is relying heavily on Will to get the ball rolling on her next big career move. According to Wendy:

Will and I are in partnership. Like I told you, Will did all this for me. Will and I are partnership. And what, the beginning of what we’re gonna do podcasts will be with, will be with certain person, and then we will continue podcast and you know honestly, I don’t know what podcast is. I can live for the rest of my life doing absolutely nothing. I can’t wait to fall in love.

But even if Will is as new to podcasts as Wendy is, Wendy says she knows “I know, you know, many people. Many people.” For example, she “knows Oz,” presumably referring to Dr. Oz, the Republican candidate for Senator from the great state of New Jersey Pennsylvania. But she could have also said “I know AHHHS” (0:47 on the video below) because that’s what her face was saying when she uttered “words.” And even though Wendy says she’s never going to return to a full-time TV hosting job, she’d be interested in guest-hosting in the future.

Excuse me? I am 100% retired. In the WWS and I don’t want to go on TV except for guest hosting like I love Whoopi Goldburg, I love The View, I love those girls, you know, and hour, you know, two hours, you know, but I don’t want to be in partnership maybe, or maybe not, but I don’t know, you know?

I’m afraid I don’t know. In fact, I think I know even less than I did 20 minutes ago. When asked what she might do differently on the podcast from her TV show, Wendy responded:

Well, you guys, I mean, maybe sneakers, you know I’ve been on HSN (Home Shopping Network) and QVC, correct? Okay, maybe I’ll do something with that or something else, you know I have lymphedema.

So a podcast about sneakers that’s broadcast on a home shopping network? What, did a jewelry designer come up with this plan or something? Well, best of luck to her and Will both. Can’t wait to catch the first episode of QVC Presents The Sneaker Bling Ring Hour with Wendy & Will. Here’s Wendy’s interview. Be warned: Wendy will show you her worrisome appendage at about 2:07.
