Will Smith Has Reportedly Been In Therapy Since He Slapped Chris Rock At The Oscars

Contrary to what Jada Pinkett-Smith believes while making guests ugly cry during her invasive episodes of Red Table Talk, she is not now, nor has she ever been, a therapist. And all of her sessions should have been monitored by a REAL therapist who could have pulled her to the side during her episode with her husband Will Smith and said “Honey your husband is about to snap!!In which he did. No need to go over what happened because everyone already knows. But honestly, after his apology tour, Will was smart enough to lay low and hope that things would die down, but that’s not happening. At one point he was spotted in India allegedly looking for healing. Other than that sighting he’s been very quiet, and one of the reasons could be because it’s now being reported that Will is in therapy to deal with his actions.

Entertainment Tonight reports that Will is currently seeking help for the moment which resulted in him being banned from the Oscars for ten years. In an attempt to make peace with his actions, he’s decided to sit down with a therapist to work out whatever is bothering him (spoiler alert: it’s August Alsina).

Will Smith is working to move forward following his high-profile Oscars altercation. A source tells ET that the King Richard star “has been going to therapy after the Oscars incident,” in which he stormed onstage and slapped Chris Rock in the face over a joke aimed at Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

He probably should have started this journey way before screaming “Fuck You!” across Chris Rock‘s face with his own version of sign language, but as long as he gets help I support this decision. And what about Chris? Apparently, he’s still keeping silent about it because he’s waiting for someone to run him a check for his pain and suffering. But he must still feel Will’s love tap on his cheek since he referenced it after coming to Dave Chappelle‘s aid once he was unsuccessfully attacked on stage.

One of this year’s Oscars co-hosts, Amy Schumer, said she was triggered and traumatized by The Slap, so maybe Will can scoot over and give her some room on his therapist’s couch. They can get a two-for-one deal.
