Yolanda Hadid Is Getting Dragged For Allowing Bella Hadid To Get A Nose Job At 14

At 14 years old, you’re a ball of hormones with hair growing in places, pimples breaking out, emotional instability; and it only continues for several years before your literal body chemistry balances out and you become a grown adult human person. During this time, many people transform, going from gangly pre-teens to not-as-awkward teenagers that Scott Disick would totally hit on. But at 14 years old, Bella Hadid permanently changed her face with surgery by getting a nose job. And people are mad about that! After Bella admitted to Vogue that she got her nose done at 14 and regrets it, people called Yolanda Hadid a “bad mother” for allowing her daughter to make that big change at so young. Clearly, none of these people watched Yolanda police her daughter Gigi Hadid‘s food intake during her stint on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, because this is old news.
25-year-old Bella says in her Vogue interview that she’s never had filler, but growing up she viewed herself as the “ugly sister” and dealt with a lot of image issues. It led her to get surgery so young and as an adult she regrets it, saying that she wished she “had kept the nose of my ancestors… I think I would have grown into it.” But of course, no 14-year-old can walk into a plastic surgeon’s office, hand them a credit card, and get a nose job. A parent has to partake in the process. And so the internet has dragged Bella’s mom Yolanda Hadid! Zayn Malik is probably cackling.
Page Six says that people went in on Yolanda on Twitter, calling out the former model for all of her shady behavior policing her daughters’ looks over the years.
“Yolanda is… I’m sorry but she’s a terrible mother. She’s encouraged disordered eating and eating disorders in the name of “maintainance” in both of her girls and let her barely out of preteens daughter get cosmetic surgery??” one Twitter user wrote.
“Yolanda is a ghoul who did an absolute number on her children, and whatever Bella is ready to admit now is her choice,” commented another, “but it’s important for young women reading this (and holding themselves to the same crushing standards) to understand that the rest is not just “face tape.””
“Yolanda really married a Palestinian man then got mad at her kids for having the features to prove it,” tweeted one user of Yolanda’s past marriage to Mohamed Hadid.
“The way Yolanda would constantly describe [Bella’s sister] Gigi as her “perfect Ralph Lauren All American girl” who got more of her Dutch genes than their dad’s Palestinian genes highlights how entrenched beauty standards are with whiteness and eurocentric features,” tweeted another. “I wanna give Bella a big hug.”
Yolanda Hadid is about to get a letter sealed with the blood of a virgin reading: “Back off my gig as wicked stage mother who imposes impossible beauty standards on her daughters for personal gain. xox, Kris Jenner.”
