Travis Scott Is No Longer Part Of Coachella’s 2022 Lineup

Variety says that Travis Scott is no longer a part of Coachella‘s 2022 lineup despite being one of the headliners. This doesn’t shock me at all since just last month 10 people died at his Astroworld show after crowd-surging led to crowd-crushing. I mean, risking herpes at Coachella is one thing, Travis Scott is another.

Travis is still facing billions of dollars worth of lawsuits, over the tragedy at Astroworld. And he’s been called out for his history of inciting chaos at his shows, and for not ending his set at Astroworld. But Travis believes he’s not at fault and claimed in an interview with Charlamagne Tha God that he didn’t know people were dying in the crowd and he was never told to end the show. Travis has tried to do some damage control by offering to pay for the funerals of the victims, but so far, the families have denied that request.

As for 2022 Coachella, it’s currently scheduled to happen during the weekends of April 15 to 17 and April 22 to 24 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California. KESQ says that Travis got dropped from the lineup. And this may have been a long-time coming since a Change.org petition started up in the days after the deaths demanding his removal that now has over 60,000 signatures. Variety has more:

Sources say the festival informed Scott’s longtime agent, Cara Lewis of the Cara Lewis Group, of its intent to pull Scott from the bill, which he was to headline, and that it would pay a kill fee for the cancelation, typically 25%. An insider adds that Lewis has been steadfast in trying to keep the slot, which would have marked Scott’s return to the stage after Astroworld.

Looks like Travis Scott is officially on the path to unemployment! Time for Kris Jenner to start looking for a replacement for Kylie Jenner to date immediately after this second baby with Travis is born. She’s already found all the acceptable tattooed skinny white dudes for Kim and Kourtney Kardashian to make out with, and I think that phase skipped Kylie’s generation so who would even be age-appropriate for her to date?
