Aziz Ansari Is Engaged To A Forensic Data Scientist

Aziz Ansari has been keeping a pretty low profile since 2018 when he was accused by a woman, known only as Grace, who recounted an awkward sexual encounter she had with him for the since defunct blog Babe.net. Grace accused Aziz, in part, of not picking up on hints that she wasn’t interested in having sex. Since the controversy, Aziz has been lying so low that, according to Page Six, he’s been living in London and barely appeared in season 3 of his own TV show Master of None. But Aziz has been doing stand-up comedy lately and during a surprise set at New York’s Comedy Cellar on Wednesday, he announced he’s engaged to girlfriend Serena Skov Campbell, a Danish forensic data scientist. Maybe Serena helped Aziz crunch the numbers and concluded that enough time has passed that he can get through an entire set without being pelted with crumpled-up Post-It notes with the word “hint” written inside.

According to Page Six, Aziz and Serena have been together since at least 2018 when they were spotted together attending the US Open.

The comedian revealed the happy news during a surprise set at the Comedy Cellar on Wednesday night in New York City, spies told Page Six.

“Everyone was super excited and very much clapping,” a source told Page Six.

“We all went nuts,” another audience member said.

A source also told us he joked that he wants his future child to be more Indian than Danish.

According to LinkedIn, Campbell works at PwC in London as a senior associate. Sources also told us Ansari said during his set on Wednesday that he was currently living in the UK.

Page Six previously reported that Ansari told a crowd during a 2019 set at Radio City Music Hall that he was smitten with Campbell and was planning a trip to India with her so she could meet his grandmother.

Page Six adds that after the Babe.net story was published, Aziz has made attempts to make amends.

In 2018, the “Master of None” star was accused of sexual misconduct by a Brooklyn photographer. The woman accused the comedian of ignoring “cues” that indicated she “wasn’t interested” in getting physical. He allegedly apologized to her at the time, saying he misread the situation, and in a statement said that he took her “words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said.”

As he returned to the comedy stage, Ansari said during a 2019 set that he hoped he’d “become a better person.”

Here are some pics of Aziz and Serena. I do take issue with women who are both glamorous looking and big ass nerds. Are you a “budding astronaut” with a “Ph.D. in Nanoplasmonics” as your (private) Instagram suggests, or are you a beautiful woman with perfect teeth who only needs to wear glasses when you want to look smart? You can’t be both, it’s not fair. Pick a lane, lady!

So if Aziz and his alleged “claw” are forgiven, does that mean we can go back to watching old episodes of Parks and Recreation without feeling sad and icky? Oh wait, never mind. Forget it!
