Ben Affleck Was Papped Looking At Engagement Rings At Tiffany’s

Ben Affleck graciously decided to give Jennifer Lopez a day off from stunting in the name of the Benniferaissance. Ben decided to work the pap stroll solo and give the tabloids really something to post. Ben was “caught” looking at engagement rings at Tiffany & Co. What chance! How lucky that paparazzi must have felt to capture such a rare twice-in-a-lifetime moment!

The second coming of the Bennifer engagement may soon be upon us. After Jennifer Lopez ended her two-year engagement with Alex Rodriguez, she got together with one of her ex, Ben Affleck, and together they have embarked on a tour-de-force of attention whoring. We’ve been hit with pictures of them looking at estates, pictures of them kissing, and pictures of them recreating scenes from the Jenny From the Block video on a yacht. Well, Ben’s now been photographed engagement ring shopping! Ben first proposed to Jennifer in 2002 with a 6.1-carat pink Harry Winston diamond which was said to have cost $2.5 million. While the wedding never happened, the engagement ring changed the landscape of overpriced minerals for decades to come.

Ben and Jennifer were meant to wed in 2003, but as Page Six reminded us, put it on hold because of the “excessive media attention,” before finally just calling it quits altogether. Thankfully this time around they’re being very demure and cautious–PHEWF! We’ve already heard stories of them possibly getting (re)engaged, but Jennifer reportedly wanted it to happen “naturally.” And this wasn’t just an average browse, Ben brought his mother Christine, and son, Samuel.

Ben Affleck was snapped browsing engagement rings at the Century City, Calif., Tiffany’s in the company of his mom, Sam, and son, Samuel, on Monday–presumably for his on-again love, Jennifer Lopez.

Ben Affleck is trying, but honestly, this isn’t believable at all. It’s cute that Ben thinks we’ll actually believe that he’s considering an “off-the-rack” ring as JLo’s engagement ring. Like JLo is really going to wear a ring that has been seen by peasants in the window of a Tiffany’s! If Ben really wanted to make us believe that he’s engagement ring shopping for Jennifer Lopez, he’d be papped at a diamond mind, waving his hand like, “No, not big enough,” when he’s shown a 200-ton diamond that has to be lifted with a crane.
