Open Post: Hosted By The Trailer For “Venom: Let There Be Carnage”

Really what I’ve wanted to do since the first Venom movie came out in 2018 was go into a cryogenic sleep until today, the day the first trailer for Venom 2 came out. Sadly that proved impossible. And as a result, look at all the shit I had to sit through waiting for Tom Hardy’s fine ass to star in a movie where he’s not weighed down with 200 pounds of prosthetics or Leonardo Di Caprio. But my day of sexual reawakening has finally come!

As in the first movie, Tom Hardy plays Eddie Brock, a guy with some kind of problems who has a weird toothy wet spider thing living inside of him — a symbiote called Venom per Entertainment Weekly. As you can tell, even though I saw it in the theater twice, I still don’t have a good grasp on the plot or backstory. But if you’re a fan of big, bold CHOICES, Tom’s performance is for you! Here’s the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage which stars Woody Harrelson as Red Twizzler Venom to Tom’s Salty Scandinavian Black Licorice Venom. There’s something for everyone, even the ladies! Naomie Harris plays a character named Shriek whose only superpower, as far as I can tell, is the ability to scream really loudly. And White Michelle Williams shows her range by showing off that rock!

His poor vocal cords! I just want to help him by filling my pussy up with saltwater so he can gargle it. Here’s what Polygon has to say about what we just saw.

At the end of the original Venom, Eddie Brock and his blood-thirsty symbiote have reached an understanding: Eddie can live a normal life, and sometimes that life will include letting Venom eat criminals. But in the sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, it seems the two have hit a rough patch.

In the movie’s new trailer, which was released on Monday, Eddie has gotten tired of hunting down criminals for his alter ego/partner to devour, so he’s back to being a loser as far as Venom is concerned. Of course, both sides of this rocky relationship are still played by Tom Hardy, who is somehow weirder as a human than as a symbiote.

But there’s more going on here than just relationship drama. The trailer also gives us a better look at the movie’s villain Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson), who plays host for the symbiote Carnage. Cletus is in maximum security prison for his crimes as a serial killer, but when Eddie comes to profile him, Cletus takes a bite out of Venom’s host and winds up with just enough symbiote DNA to create a whole new and more dangerous version: Carnage.

The best thing about these Venom movies, and really, most Tom Hardy flicks, is that they are sustainable. The sets don’t have to be broken down after use because Tom has eaten them all up by the time filming wraps. We stan an ecological king!
