The “House Of Gucci” Character Posters Are Here

July 29, 2021 / Posted by:

In honor of the House of Gucci trailer dropping tonight, MGM released a bunch of molto elegante e drammatico character posters featuring the film’s leads. We’ve already seen some on-set pap shots and star Lady Gaga tweeted a pic of her and Adam Driver in full rich-Italian-nineties-chalet mode, but this is our first official look at the entire Gucci famiglia. It includes an unrecognizable Jared Leto in fat/bald Bobby Cannavale drag. At that point, why even spend the cash hiring Jared Leto? For all we know they could be Trojan Horse-casting Kevin Spacey under all those prosthetics!

Here are the posters. First up is Lady Gaga as husband-assassin/heiress Patrizia Reggiani:

And here’s Adam Driver as Patrizia’s doomed ex-husband/son of Rodolfo, Maurizio Gucci:

Then we have Jared Leto (allegedly) playing Paolo Gucci (son of Aldo). This is how I imagine Jordan Catalano would look at 50, after years of heavy drinking and sun damage #TeamBrianKrakow:

Here’s Jeremy Irons as a mustachioed Martin Scorsese as Rodolfo Gucci (AKA Maurizio D’Ancora, murdered Maurizio’s dad):

And finally Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci, the eldest son of Guccio Gucci:

The Ridley Scott-directed film is based on the 2001 book, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden. It’s set in 1995 and depicts the events surrounding the hit of Maurizio Gucci (centaur Adam Driver) by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani (Gaga).

The Gucci family is none too pleased about the film, which will debut in November. Murderess Patrizia (who’s been out of prison since 2016) was pissed that Lady Gaga didn’t wanna meet her before filming. Another Patrizia, Patrizia Gucci, says the family wants their privacy and that her grandfather, Aldo, should not be played by a “really ugly” Al Pacino. Patrizia is Mauricio’s second cousin and the great-granddaughter of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci and… OW MY BRAIN! They’d better distribute print-outs of the Gucci famiglia tree outside movie theaters.
