Mossimo Giannulli Got Out Of Prison Early

Mossimo Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison for his part in the College Admissions Scandal. Mossimo and his wife Lori Loughlin took a plea deal and pled guilty after they were charged for using $500,000 to pay their daughters’ ways into USC. Lori was sentenced to 2 months in prison and got out last Christmas. Mossimo was sentenced to 5 months and kept trying to get out early and released into home confinement. Well, Mossimo got his wish. He was released two weeks early and is either starring in the legal-system sitcom, Halfway House, or is on home confinement in his mansion.

In January, 57-year-old Mossimo started complaining to the court that prison was hard for him because he was kept in his “small cell” for nearly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so he wanted to serve the rest of his sentence in his mansion. The court shit on that request but he was released from solitary. And over the weekend, E! News reported that Mossimo’s time has finally come and he’s been released from federal prison. He’s not fully out, though–his official release is April 17, and prison records show that he’s still a Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate. He’s under the jurisdiction of Long Beach RRM which handles oversight of halfway houses in Long Beach California, so he could be in one. But AP is hearing that Mossimo isn’t in a halfway house, he’s at home:

Giannulli was released to home confinement on Friday, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press. He is expected to serve the remainder of his sentence at home, the person said. The person could not discuss the matter publicly and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

A release to home confinement in Giannulli’s case is not out of the ordinary, in part because of the short nature of his sentence.

Glad that Mossimo’s slap on the wrist for expensive financial crimes is almost over! I’m sure it’s a matter of time before he gets papped picking up some trash on the side of the road or something for his 250 hours of community service. And also a matter of time until the whole family appears on Red Table Talk to rehab their image. JK, Adrienne Banfield-Jones would never allow such a thing. They’ll probably all appear as a family on Olivia Jade‘s YouTube channel in a storytime titled: “Why Our Privileged Asses Cheated The System And Deserve To Be Forgiven.” Hey, it’ll still be a better video than those YouTubers who got rid of their son.
