Things Are “Heating Up” Between Adele And Skepta

The tattoo on Skepta’s neck reads, “FOREVER.” And I don’t know if that’s what he’s got going on with breakup soundtrack composer Adele. But we do have a bit of recent information that would lead us to believe it’s more FOREVER than TEMPORARY. A source claims that they’re definitely dating, and that things are “heating up.” As Chet Hanks weeps, “Wah gwan from the other siiiiiiide.”

32-year-old Adele was first linked to 38-year-old British rapper Skepta almost exactly a year ago, but they’d been friends for a few years prior. Whatever romantic energy there was between the two of them has been kept fairly quiet. The most we’ve gotten since last October has been a rumor that they possibly broke up, followed by what appeared to be a confirmation they were still a thing (thanks to some Instagram flirting). A source who spoke to People magazine has confirmed that yes they’re a couple, and says that they’re still going strong:

The pop star is dating rapper Skepta, a source close to Adele confirms to People in this week’s issue, on newsstands Friday. In recent months “things have been heating up,” the source says of the new couple. “They run in the same circles in London, and she’s having fun.”

Several sources add that alongside bonding over music and being from Tottenham, Adele and Skepta also talk about kids. Adele shares an 8-year-old son Angelo with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, while Skepta has a 2-year-old named River from a previous relationship.

People really should have pressed their source for more information, because it’s not clear how things are heating up. Are we talking hot hot, as in their hands are sweaty and clammy because they just recently graduated to holding hands in public while running in the same circles of London? Did she give him a key to her house? Did they pick a celebrity couple name? Did they go with Adepta or Skedtel, or perhaps they skipped it entirely because neither truly rolls off the tongue. Or are they about to go Instagram official? Please let that be the next one. Because I don’t know how long I can live like this. Living in fear that with every passing month, Adele and Skepta are “rumored” to be seeing each other without a real confirmation. And that we’re one step closer to reading a corny headline that makes a pun about being “skepta-cal” about the status of what’s going on.
