Nicki Minaj Is Pregnant

July 20, 2020 / Posted by:

When Nicki Minaj appeared in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s video for “TROLLZ” last month, some people might have been asking, “WHY,” while others might have been staring at her stomach and asking, “Is she?” Because there was a lot of sitting and belly-obscuring poses in that video. Well, Nicki went ahead and released a series of pictures showing off her stomach area with the hashtag #preggers, thus proving without a shadow of a doubt that she’s currently pregnant with her first child.

Nicki spent the morning Instagramming several pictures from her maternity shoot. She didn’t say when her baby is due, or if she’s having a boy or a girl. Just that she and Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, her husband of 9 months, are expecting.

Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.

If I searched for who art directed this shoot and looked at their LinkedIn account, I’d probably discover that they worked as a designer at Tonka in the 1980s. In the shoot, Nicki looks like a pregnant Hollywoods doll, by way of a Versailles-themed strip club.

So there you have it. This summer, Nicki’s drink order won’t be a margarita on the rock-rock-rocks with salt all around that rim-rim-rim-rim, nor will she have any need for a bottle of rosé. Does Myx make non-alcoholic versions of their Moscato offerings?

This will be Nicki’s first baby, but about the 1,204th time she’s teased a possible pregnancy. However, none of this should really be a surprise to anyone, considering it was just last September that she announced her plans to temporarily step away from music to start a family. But will Wendy Williams be named Godmother? Unlikely. Is her husband even allowed in the hospital room when she gives birth? Unknown, because I don’t know if sex offender registration laws specify that he has to be 100 yards away from all children, or just specific children. Nicki might want to start practicing the cutting of the umbilical cord right now, just in case.
