In 2017, Chris Pratt and Anna Faris spat in the face of love when they broke up after eight years of marriage. After some uneventful divorce proceedings, and agreeing on joint custody of their seven-year-old son Jack, neither wasted any time moving on. Last June, 40-year-old Chris married fellow child of God, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and 43-year-old Anna recently got engaged to cinematographer Michael Barrett. The exes seem to be on good terms. Anna only had nice things to say about 30-year-old Katherine on her podcast, and even joked that she wanted to officiate their wedding.
But now some source tells Us Weekly that Chris “never felt good enough” to be with Anna. Uh oh, sad boy alert!
via Marie Claire:
‘Chris was very insecure about himself before he started dating Katherine,’ an US Weekly source explained. ‘He never felt “good enough” for Anna Faris, and then when their relationship started to go downward, he was angry and not liking who he was.’
According to a source via TMZ, Chris ‘had some life-changing experiences that required him to adjust the balance between family and career.’
How incredibly vague. What were those “life-changing experiences”? Starring in two massively successful film franchises? Saying YES to abandoning pets? Joining an anti-LGBTQ church? Or is that all bullshit? And the real reason was he was jealous that his wife had a bigger career than him back then.
The source added: ‘When he married Anna back in 2009, she was much bigger than him. He’s now at the top of the Hollywood food chain, and with that comes opportunities that take him all over the world, shooting movies that take him away from home for months at a time.’
The US Weekly source added: ‘Chris has a much healthier self-image now.’
So, yeah. I’m sure he has a “much healthier self-image now”. That’s what happens when you’re a sex symbol who’s paid millions and millions of dollars to do your dream job. And you marry a nice Christian girl who isn’t in the acting game (yet). Mazel, Chris’ fragile ego!
