Miley Cyrus Is Going To Keep The Pets In The Divorce

August 23, 2019 / Posted by:

The only question we actually really cared about in this whole Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth break up drama was: “What about those pets!” As you may or may not know, Miley and Liam had quite the crew going on with their wide array of pets. And I mean wide including mini-horses. Now that these two are officially done, with Liam filing for divorce earlier this week, the legal fate of the animals has been decided. Miley is keeping them.

TMZ says that Miley is the new exclusive guardian of fifteen different animals. Miley and Liam reportedly have a prenup so there wasn’t going to be any fighting over money or using accusations of infidelity–like other than making out and then immediately dating Kaitlynn Carter after the divorce announcement–or accusations of drug use to squeeze more money one way or another. But the pets could have been a different story.

In California, a new law allows judges to determine who gets to keep custody of pets based on who’s better suited for it, and can even award joint custody of household pets. Sources say Liam is not going to fight with Miley over this, though. They say Miley will keep their three cats, seven dogs, two mini-horses, two regular horses, and a pig. Miley is the one who got the animals in the first place. So even though Liam is the one who saved them from a fiery death during the Malibu wildfires which burned their house down–she’s still the one keeping them.

I guess it’s a good thing that she already started this thing with Kaitlynn then, right? Because how hard is it for a divorced woman with kids to find a new partner? Miley is a divorced mother of fifteen! You think you can handle dating a woman who needs to care for one horse let alone four? And seven dogs? And a pig?! The cats take care of themselves–just leave out some Whiskas two to three times a day–but the rest of them? We’ll see how long this relationship lasts now that Kaitlynn is step-mother to Old MacDonald’s farm.
