Ivana Trump Has Broken Up With Her Fourth Ex-Husband Who She Was Dating For 10 Years
The very model of a timeless classic, the symbiotic relationship between an Italian gigolo and a divorced/widowed Eastern European gold digger, has been dealt a devastating blow. Page Six reports that Ivana Trump and her fourth ex-husband Rossano Rubicondi have officially ended their on again off again relationship for good. Or at least for now. I think it probably depends on if Rossano’s dreams of a reality TV show about him running a fast/casual Italian restaurant near Mar-a-Lago called “Rossano to Go” eventually pans out. Sadly, I don’t think that it will. The venture appears to have stalled out sometime in 2017.
Ivana and Rossano were married “in a lavish $3 million ceremony” at Mar-a-Lago in 2008, but split just a few months later and divorced in 2009. However, shortly after their divorce they started dating each other again. Ivana was previously married to Austrian ski instructor Alfred Winklmayr (1971-73), some dude named Donald Trump, and Italian businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli (1995-1997) who sued Ivana and Donny for libel in 1997 for calling him a gold digger in the press. Page Six reports:
“The relationship just ran its course,” Trump — the mother of First Family members Donald Jr., Eric and Ivanka — told us. “Rossano spends a lot of time in Italy and I spend a lot of time in New York, Miami and St-Tropez, and he has to work,” she said. “The long-distance relationship really doesn’t work. We had a good time and are friends. The split was amicable.”
Her accent may be thicker than her collagenated lips, but Ivana sure does know how to use her words. Please note: HE has to work. The poor thing. In the past that work has included modeling and being a reality TV show contestant on shows such as L’isola dei Famosi (Island of the Famous). And, well there’s also this.
Ivana says she’ll never get married again, not because her heart’s been broken, but because she wants to be “a free woman”.
Now, “I don’t want to get married again,” she told us. “I’m done. You get married because you want a family. I have three kids and grandkids. I just want to be free and go where I want to go with whoever I want. I want to be a free woman.”
She further added, “I don’t want to date. I like to have companions, and I have plenty of men who take me for lunches and dinners and balls or charity events. I don’t want to be attached.”
I guess old Rossano was really cramping her style. Or maybe he became a nuisance by trying to get his foot in the White House door to talk to Donny about his restaurant (via CNN, 2017):
He’s hoping to capitalize on the Trump family’s connection to media and television with his own reality show about running the pizza business, currently under development.
Ivana plans to move on by having a “fabulous summer” hosting friends at her house in St. Tropez. When Rossano was asked about the breakup he responded, “Think whatever you want to think”.
