The Spice Girls Are Getting Back Together (No, Really)

February 2, 2018 / Posted by:

I know, Spice Girls reunion rumors are about as prevalent (and believable) as Big Foot sightings. Actually, that’s an insult to Big Foot…we don’t know he isn’t real! But, this Spice Girls reunion rumor came with photographic evidence. All five of the gals posted a photo of them together on Instagram this morning, and most people started whispering about how it must be for a reunion. Tose whispers are correct.

NME says the entire spice rack got back together to discuss reuniting for a series of projects. The only reason Posh agreed to reunite is if she didn’t have to lend her vocals. I know, I know…I can’t stop laughing either. Why start now, Vicky?! They each will reportedly nab £10 million each for doing the reunion, which is expected to include TV shows, endorsement deals, and a greatest hits album. I sincerely hope the TV show is just a Lifetime remake of Spice World starring the original cast!

Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower

The whole thing took place at Ginger Spice/Geri Halliwell’s house, and the reunion seems legit because their old manager Simon Fuller, who also orchestrated their last comeback, was also there.

Love u all so much!!! X Such a great day!! Thank u Simon! X VB

Posh is even kinda (ok, barely) smiling in that one! I would imagine that was after being told she can make millions of dollars for just agreed to appear in a poster for Tesco. Baby Spice/Emma Bunton also added fuel to the fire with the caption on her upload:

I’m not going to post the same photo five times, but it sounds like they’re all happy to be back together. Even though we heard last year about a reunion on the horizon, a Posh source clapped back and said her gesticulating-while-lip-synching days were behind her. But they confirmed through a statement that they’ve reunited to explore new opportunities,

The Sun says there was a long negotiation period with Victoria, but she finally agreed it was the right time. A source says money talks:

“Victoria and Geri agreed it would be impossible to be part of a  fully-fledged tour because of family and business commitments. Now that she’s a top designer Victoria is concerned about singing but she wants to make money to pump back into her business.”

The Guardian adds that Posh doesn’t have to be concerned about singing, because the Spice Girls aren’t going to perform or record new music.

Posh’s fashion brand lost £8.4million last year, and David Beckham apparently had to step in to cover the loss with his own company. Now that he’s dumping money into creating a Miami soccer team and stadium, Posh needs some zig-a-zig-cash! Oh, who are we kidding. Baby spent her summer judging an ABC show called Boy Band, and Scary now realizes divorce attorneys come with even scarier invoices. They all need the zig-a-zig-cash!
