Eminem And The Weeknd Might Headline Coachella With Beyoncé

Beyoncé’s big Coachella gig is a little less than five months away, and obviously she’s the only headliner the Beyhive cares about. But unless Coachella was planning on dragging out their hologram machine and projecting a dazzling array of digital Beyoncés onto the stage, they will need a few more headliners. According to Consequence of Sound, they’ve got them. Beyoncé will be reportedly headlining with Eminem and The Weeknd.

This isn’t Eminem or The Weeknd’s first time at Hipster Mecca. Eminem made one appearance in 2012 as a surprise guest of Dr. Dre. The Weeknd has performed twice and made a surprise appearance last year. Beyoncé made surprise pop-ins in 2010 and 2014. She was supposed to headline last year, but being pregnant with twins forced her to be replaced by Lady Gaga.

An announcement regarding Coachella’s 2018 headliners, including the official line up, isn’t expected to be made until early January.

Consequence of Sound also points out that this is the first year in Coachella history that a rock band hasn’t headlined, which they believe is a sign that people just don’t like rock anymore. Or maybe Coachella just isn’t getting the right rock in there to headline. I’m sure it would be a hit if they threw Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson up on stage with a mic and let him call people candy-ass roody-poos for an hour or so.

Eminem has a new album out (Revival) and he sings with Beyoncé on the song “Walk On Water,” which could possibly mean an appearance by Beyoncé in his set. Beyoncé and The Weeknd also recorded “6 Inch” together off her album Lemonade, so again, there’s a chance she could show up in his set, or vice-versa. It sounds like Beyoncé could potentially end up doing the work of three performers that weekend. “Eh, nothing I’m not already used to,thought Beyonce.
