Jussie Smollett Has Been Charged With A Felony For Allegedly Filing A Fake Police Report
If you told me two weeks ago that the Jussie Smollett hate crime story would lead to him facing time in the clink, I’d tell you to take off that tinfoil MAGA hat, but that’s exactly what is happening.
As expected, a grand jury in Cook County, Illinois met today and were presented evidence, which detectives think points to Jussie orchestrating the hate crime he claims happened to him late last month. The grand jury also heard from brothers, Ola and Abel Osundairo, who testified that Jussie paid them $3,000 to fake attack him on the streets of Chicago after he came back from Subway. The Chicago Tribune says that the Cook County state’s attorney’s office announced that the grand jury has indicted Jussie with disorderly conduct, which is a felony, for conjuring up a fraudulent police report. Jussie could face three years in prison if he’s convicted. Well, Jussie is probably going to need some money to pay a team of lawyers to defend him, so he should hit up Subway since all of the publicity they’ve gotten for this could be stuffed into ten thousand foot longs.
CBS2 Chicago got a hold of surveillance footage from a store of the Osundairo brothers buying shit they needed for the alleged theatrical piece entitled WHY JUSSIE WHY???? (A Tragic Tale Of Fuckery In One Act). They bought ski masks, sunglasses, and red hats, and claimed Jussie told them what to buy.

A week before Jussie says he was attacked, a death threat, that was written out in cut-out magazine letters, was sent to Fox Studios. It was addressed to him and the return sender was just MAGA. The FBI are reportedly looking into whether Jussie sent it to himself. They’re also looking into stamps and magazine clippings that were found at the brother’s apartment. TMZ says that the brothers told police that they know nothing about that death threat letter. It’s claimed that the brothers also told police that they scouted potential attack locations with Jussie and rehearsed it all.
Chicago PD apparently realized that something was off early on when Jussie took them to the scene of the crime and pointed directly at a nearby surveillance camera. But the camera didn’t get shit because it was pointed the wrong way.
Chicago PD said on Twitter that they’re going to get a hold of his lawyers to schedule a time for him to come in to be arrested and I have a feeling that Jussie is looking at his calendar like, “Hmmm, how about the 22nd of Never Fucking Ever.”

It’s been reported over and over again that Jussie’s motive was to boost his fame because he was about to get written off of Empire and thought if he became more known, that wouldn’t happen. Empire’s creators and Fox denied he was going to be written off. Well, if Jussie wanted a boost in fame, he got it, but not the kind of boost he wanted. And let this be a lesson to any celeb types looking for a boost in fame: just do it the old-fashioned way! Leak your damn sex tape. That’s normal! I can’t believe I just called something a Kardashian has done “normal.” Look what you made me do, Jussie!
