Cardi B Went Off About The Government Shutdown, And Even Some Senators Wondered If They Should Re-Tweet

Our Stripper Queen of the Bronx, Cardi B, is in the news again, but thankfully it has nothing to do with that PR breakup from last month. Did her and Offset get back together? Who cares, Cardi isn’t talking about that right now: she’s getting serious and is here to give you the realest political commentary so far in 2019, okurrrrr?

Cardi must be trying to nab herself a CNN pundit spot by randomly dropping some serious political talk on her Instagram. Yes, the same Instagram profile where she dropped video after video railing against her nemesis Nicki Minaj, is now the home to a political mic drop surrounding the current American government shutdown. The future host of CNN’s Cardi B 369 started with:

“Hey y’all! I just wanna remind y’all because it’s been a little bit over three weeks, okay: it’s been a little bit over three weeks. TRUMP, is now ordering–as in summoning–federal government workers to go back to work without getting paid.”

And she wasn’t even close to being done:

“Now, I don’t want to hear y’all motherfuckers talkin’ bout: ‘Oh but Obama shut down the government for 17 days…’ Yeah bitch! For Healthcare! So your grandma could check her blood pressure, and you bitches could go check y’all pussy at the gynaecologist with no motherfuckin’ problem.”

Can someone say that to Meghan McCain on The View, please?

“Now I know a lot y’all don’t care because y’all don’t work for the government or y’all probably don’t even have a job, but this shit is really fuckin’ serious bro. This shit is crazy, like… our country is in a hellhole right now… all for a fuckin’ wall.”

And this:

“I feel like we need to take some action… I don’t know what type of action, bitch, because… this not what I do but: bitch I’m scared.”

At first Cardi didn’t understand why she was trending:

But she soon learned why when #Cardi2020 became the topic of the evening and people suggested she should be the one to give the State Of The Union address. Democratic Senators like Brian Schatz (Hawaii), Chris Murphy (Connecticut), and Chuck Schumer (New York) clapped for Cardi and wondered if they should share her political sermon with their followers:

I wish you would, Senator Brian Schatz! Be the change you want to see in the world Senator Chris Murphy! …Did you ever think we’d live in a timeline where senators consider retweeting rap starlets for the merits of their political discourse?

I really hope this begins a trend of Cardi B dropping some seriously semi-woke political commentary. Can’t wait until Cardi B becomes a full-blown political activist following the steps of Marsha P. Johnson and is historically recognized as the person who threw the first shoe at the Mexican Border Wall.
