Amber Heard’s Deposition Didn’t Happen Because She Threw A Hissy Fit, So Claims Johnny Depp’s Lawyer (UPDATE)

Aaaaand things are back to being five hundred layers of messy.

Amber Heard was supposed to get grilled by Johnny Depp’s lawyers in a deposition on Saturday, but that never happened. The story went that Amber sat in a nearby office for nearly 10 hours as the lawyers tried to work out a settlement to avoid going to trial. They didn’t work shit out, apparently. Amber’s lawyer released a statement saying that she was ready to answer questions but Johnny’s lawyers never called her. Amber never refused to be deposed and there was nothing stopping Johnny’s lawyers from calling her. But because this entire situation just has to be more of a mess than the inside of the chonies that Johnny wears for 12 days straight, his lawyer is telling a much different story. His lawyer claims that Amber Heard is the reason why Amber Heard’s depo didn’t go down.

Today, Johnny’s lawyer Laura Wasser filed new legal documents and she may or may not have BCC’d Harvey Levin. TMZ reports that the new documents claim that Amber repeatedly spit at the idea of answering questions on Saturday. The documents state that at 2pm on Saturday, Amber was asked to go into the conference room to begin the depo and she refused. Amber was allegedly asked again at 5:30pm and she once again refused. Laura Wasser claims that Amber never put her feet into the conference room and stayed in an office where she cried, screamed and yelled as though someone was forcing her to watch The Lone Ranger. Laura also claims that Amber refused to hand over documents they requested.

The trial to decide if Amber’s restraining order against Johnny is made permanent starts on Monday, August 15. Since Amber didn’t get deposed, Laura Wasser wants the court to either throw the domestic abuse case out or block Amber from testifying. TMZ also says that Amber’s lawyers have medical proof that Johnny abused her. They have medical records and a picture from 2014 of Amber holding a bottle of pills that are connected to Johnny allegedly beating her. I’m guessing they’re either painkillers or anxiety meds.

We should all probably put on our rain slickers and brace ourselves, because I have a feeling that both sides will throw a lot more caca at each other right up until 7am on Monday morning when they miraculously agree to settle.. But if the trial ends up happening, I hope that when it starts we will get to hear the bailiff say, “The regular judge is out sick, so rise for their substitute, the honorable Judge Judy!” Because lord, I need to know what Judge Judy has to say about this.

UPDATE: E! News says that the judge pushed back the domestic abuse hearing from Monday, August 15 to Wednesday, August 17 and extended the restraining order until that day. The judge pushed the date back because they want Johnny and Amber’s depos to be done before the hearing. The judge ordered that both depos must happen later this week.

And as this was going on, Johnny Depp was in Ibiza where he earned himself yet another Fighting The Hot Lifetime Achievement Award by looking like the baby that was born 9 months after Jared Leto’s The Joker and King Koopa had messy bareback sex in a Port-A-Potty at Coachella.
