People is reporting that The Jackson Estate has decided to make a documentary of their own. Yes, the way that rappers these days will release a response to a diss track made against them, The Jackson Estate decided to release it’s own documentary in response to the Michael Jackson one which details alleged sexual abuse he committed against James Safechuck and Wade Robson when they were kids–Leaving Neverland. They’re also calling their response doc Neverland Firsthand, and not sure if you want to use the word “hand” when responding to child-touching allegations, but okay.
The Michael Jackson estate has already filed its own lawsuit against HBO for Leaving Neverland, and now Michael Jackson’s children are considering taking legal action. Page Six reports that Paris, Prince and Prince Michael Jackson II (Blanket) are thinking about suing the Wade Robson and James Safechuck, the two accusers whose stories make up Leaving Neverland.
The Leaving Neverland documentary has really kicked a wrench into the Michael Jackson machine. The (highly gross) allegations made against the deceased pop star have tarnished what was left of his reputation and has led to lawsuits, Drake dropping MJ samples from his set lists, radio stations dropping MJ songs, and Corey Feldman deciding not to defend him anymore.Well the steaming ball of crap rolling down shit mountain is still building, as The Simpsons showrunner, Al Jean, has some words about the Michael Jackson episode that recently got axed from their reruns, specifically that he thought Michael was using it to “groom” boys.
You won’t see Drake doing the moonwalk anytime soon. Mostly because he only knows how to do that one Kiki challenge dance, but also because he’s not fucking with Michael Jackson anymore. According to Complex, Drake’s just made a last minute change to his setlist for the kickoff of his tour in Manchester, England this past weekend. Drake won’t be performing “Don’t Matter to Me” off his Scorpion album, which featured “previously unheard vocals from Michael Jackson”. Oops, maybe he can ask the Jackson Estate if he can get his money back.
It would be truly shocking if Paris Jackson had anything to say to the media about her dad, Michael Jackson, and the horrific details of alleged sexual abuse that were revealed in the Leaving Neverland documentary, that wasn’t in lockstep with the official Jackson Estate response. And why should she? She’s got enough to deal with considering she recently had to check herself into a mental health facility to deal with just regular life as a Jackson. According to TMZ, “sources close to Paris” claim that while she hasn’t watched the film, she “firmly believes Michael Jackson was not a child molester”. I mean, duh. We all remember how they did Latoya dirty when she fell out of line, right?
