On the other end, you might have Reese Witherspoon, rolling her eyes about how she’s still being pulled into Ryan Phillippe’s orbit of bullshit twelve years after they got divorced. Well, technically Ryan isn’t the one doing the pulling. That would be Elsie Hewitt, Ryan’s former girlfriend and the woman suing him for assault.

Ryan is still fighting his ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt over domestic assault allegations she made last September. Ryan denied the allegations. Elsie has a theory about why Ryan believes he did nothing wrong; according to Elsie, drug use might have clouded Ryan’s memory.

Back in September, we got a teaser taste of what the The Secret Life of Ryan Phillippe might look like when his ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt filed a police report accusing Ryan of putting the hurt on her in a drug and alcohol-fueled rage. With the exception of a temporary protection order, nothing panned out criminally. But Elsie went ahead and filed a civil suit against Ryan for $1 million dollars.
Ryan has vehemently maintained his innocence throughout, and was quick to lawyer up and threaten a countersuit for defamation and malicious prosecution. Now we’re getting another little taste of how Ryan rolls. He filed that countersuit and posted about it on Twitter.

Sources close to Ryan accused Elsie of having the cruelest of intentions, aka trying to get money. TMZ says that Ryan is preparing to fight back and has lawyered up.

TMZ reports that things got messier than a Porta Potty at Coachella between Ryan and his model ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt. Elsie filed a lawsuit claiming that Ryan has a problem with the good/bad shit (shrooms, coke, ecstasy and roids = all the yikes) and that he physically assaulted her when she came to his house to get her shit after they broke up.
