Wendy Williams’ Manager Speaks Out After Her Son Accuses Him Of Mishandling Her Funds

The Wendy Williams Show went off the air for good last June, but the drama surrounding its former host, Wendy Williams, has been in syndication for months. There was her stint in rehab, the cloven hoof she showcased to the world (that still lives in my nightmares), and her ill-fated podcast. And aside from these “Are you Ok?” moments, her 22-year-old son Kevin Hunter Jr. alleges the people around her have been plying her with booze and digging into her wallet to run her pockets whenever they want. Now, Lil’ Kevin wants to expose the horrible people surrounding his mother, but her manager Will Selby is slapping away at those claims.

According to Page Six, Lil’ Kev is ready to rip away the curtain behind 58-year-old Wendy’s court-appointed guardianship. He claims Wendy’s health is declining and she’s being taken advantage of financially, which is something her fans and followers need to know

Kevin Hunter Jr. claimed in a new interview that his mother’s body does not process booze at the same “rate” that a “normal” person’s body would.

“We’ve spoken about it,” he shared with the US Sun Monday.

“I’ve said, ‘This is one thing where you don’t know how to approach it normally, and that’s fine,’ and it’s gotten to a point where, yes, it could have that effect that it might be fatal because it affects her way worse than a normal person since it stays in her system.”

Hunter, who lives in Miami and took care of his ailing mother from late 2021 to spring 2022, said he is not only concerned about Williams’ declining health but also that her team, which includes rep Shawn Zanotti and jeweler-turned-manager Will Selby, is taking advantage of her financially.

“What’s been made more important by the people around her is that while her health may not be great, she needs to keep on earning income, and in my opinion that should not be a priority at all,” he told the outlet.

“And whoever has been hired, they are taking advantage of someone who needs to get better.”

It was at this moment that Wendy’s manager, Will Selby, decided to speak.  Entertainment Tonight reports that Will barfed up some bullshit that made sense only to him while probably hiding a stash of Wendy’s cash in his back pocket for a night at the strip club later on.

“Taking advantage of her for what? To get what? To do what? I’m not here to brag but I was doing just okay before Wendy came along and I insisted on helping her because she requested my assistance,” Selby said.

Breaking down Wendy’s court-appointed guardianship, Selby asserted that there is no way Wendy could be taken advantage of by her team, or anyone else for that matter.

“Wendy is under a guardianship. Everything that she does gets approved by the guardianship. A court-appointed guardianship. So, no one, even if they wanted to take advantage of her — everything has to get approved by that court,” He reminded. “So, any type of business dealings that we do, Wendy, myself and anyone — we have to get the guardianship to sign off on it. So how can anyone take advantage of her?”

Ok, Will. Come back when your response doesn’t scream, “Yeah, I’m stealing her money!“. But luckily for Will, Wendy’s rep Shawn Zanotti echoed his statements claiming Kevin has no clue what’s really going on behind the scenes.

“This publication has released false narratives with the intent to release stories without fully vetting information, which is a disadvantage to the public, and is unprofessional and unethical. We ask that the world continues to pray for the well-being of Wendy as she continues to recover from a very traumatic two years.”

Their responses don’t necessarily inspire confidence since every time I’ve seen Wendy recently; it looks like she’s being propped up with sticks and tape. But then again, who am I kidding? At the rate her handlers are allegedly spending her money, they’re probably using toothpicks and weave glue on her eyelids. Either way, it seems like whoever’s in charge doesn’t really want us to know how Wendy’s doing at all.
