79-Year-Old Robert DeNiro Says He Just Welcomed His Seventh Child
On Monday, Robert De Niro sat down with ET Canada to promote his latest flick, About My Father. When the interviewer mentioned Bobby D. had six kids, he corrected her: “Seven, actually. I just had a baby.” Yep, 79-year-old screen legend Robert De Niro, a man born during World War II, who played the titular grandpa in both Dirty Grandpa and The War with Grandpa, and an actual grandfather of four, is now the father of a newborn. Hoo boy. Or hoo girl! We still don’t know the sex of the baby.
Today, Robert’s rep confirmed the news to Page Six, but didn’t share any other details. Even though nobody officially disclosed the identity of the mother, it’s definitely/maybe Bob’s girlfriend, Tiffany Chen. Last month, paps caught the couple on a dinner date last month, and she was clearly pregnant:
Tiffany and Robert worked together on The Intern in 2015. She played a tai chi instructor. She’s also a tai chi instructor in real life and has won 43 medals in martial arts, kickboxing, and fighting. Her bio says she’s also a dancer, figure skater, and gymnast. Robert was first linked to Tiffany in 2021 when they celebrated his 78th birthday together in France. Last year, they were papped on vacation in Spain.
And now, for a brief rundown of all of Robert’s kids and the three women, he’s had kids with. In 1976, he married Diahnne Abbott, and he adopted her five-year-old daughter, Drena (#1), from a previous relationship. Drena had her own son in 2003. Seven months after their wedding, Diahnne and Robert welcomed a son, Raphael (#2). He has three kids. Robert divorced Diahnne in 1988, and he moved in with Toukie Smith that same year. In 1995, Toukie gave birth to twin sons, Aaron and Julian (#3-4). The couple split in 1996. The following year, Robert married Grace Hightower. They welcomed a boy, Elliot (#5), in March 1998 and a girl, Helen, in 2011 (#6). Robert and Grace split in 2018. In 2021, Robert claimed he’d been forced to overwork himself cuz Grace kept spending all his money. Eventually, a judge ruled that Grace wasn’t entitled to half of Robert’s fortune. Grace will still get millions under her prenup and $1 million a year in alimony until she remarries or one of them dies.
Listen. Having a dad who will be 97 years old when you graduate high school is hardly ideal, but let’s look on the bright side: with Tiffany’s genes, this baby’s gonna be a little athlete! So what if their elderly father can’t bend down to pick them up? Baby #7 will just cartwheel up daddy’s body and jump right into his arms!
