Michael Bay Has Been Charged With Killing A Pigeon In Italy, But He Denies It

In News-That-Could-Be-Clickbait-But-It’s-Real-This-Time news, director Michael Bay has been formally charged in Italy for a crime he allegedly committed a few years back while filming his Netflix action movie, 6 Underground. What’s the crime? Michael is alleged to have murdered a pigeon. Well, not him, per se, but since he was the director and the head honcho of the movie, he’s the one on the hook for the slaying of the pigeon. He’s been charged with second-degree avian assault–no, I’m fully joking, I have no idea what the fuck is going on here, but all I know is that Michael Bay definitely needs to watch it because pigeon whisperer Mike Tyson is watching.

Apparently, it’s not just women in bikinis he puts through Hell; birds should be on the lookout for Michael Bay as well! TMZ says that the 57-year-old director is actually facing real charges over an incident that is alleged to have occurred back in 2018. But sources claim that production used homing pigeons, and none were harmed in the making of the movie.

However, sources connected to the production tell TMZ … all the homing pigeons used in the film landed safely during filming.

One source told us, “Everyone knows Michael is an animal activist. This would never happen on his set. There are dozens of witnesses who said that this didn’t happen.”

Italian officials say otherwise — prosecutors claim the pigeon was killed by a dolly while Michael was filming in Rome … where it is illegal to harm or kill wild birds.

But apparently, the authorities already have proof of the avian murder. They allegedly have a photo of the incident from a source on set:

Authorities say someone from the set saw the whole thing, and took a photo before reporting it to law enforcement.

The allegation isn’t that Michael himself harmed the bird, but because he was the director … he’s being held responsible for the incident. Michael reportedly tried to get the case thrown out several times, but prosecutors persisted.

According to reports, Michael was given the option to pay a small fine to settle the entire case, but he declined, saying he simply wouldn’t plead guilty to harming an animal.

Michael Bay issued this statement about the bird murder accusations:

I am a well-known animal lover and major animal activist. No animal involved in the production was injured or harmed. Or on any other production I’ve worked on in the past 30 years…We have clear video evidence, a multitude of witnesses, and safety officers that exonerates us from these claims. And disproves their one paparazzi photo — which gives a false story.

Below is a scene from 6 Underground featuring pigeons. One of them hits a woman in the face. Michael needs to account for their whereabouts!

Once Italy finishes going after Michael Bay for alleged bird murder, they need to go after him for making 6 Underground (Certified Rotten!) in the first place because that’s also a crime!
